This was a gorgeous hotel! Beautiful and clean and relatively quiet. The location is a little bit far from the city so it depends on your purpose of travel, but I think for business for me next time I will want to be closer to the city, but for a vacation, it’s perfect. The breakfast buffet was delicious and had better variety than many buffets.

This hotel is impeccable. Historical meets luxury and absolutely stunning balcony views with a pool that kept us cool in the start of the summer. Excellent view and very classic interior design. I love the design style of the hotel both outside and inside which is very classic Chinese style but high quality. The staff members are great. I had to do an early checkout because of typhoon's landing and change of traveling scheduling, and I was able to get my full refund for the remaining night. Will stay in the same hotel again for my next visit of Taipei.

The Grand Hotel lives up to its name. Everything is unique and beautiful. The restaurants are excellent and all different (we tried them all). The nightly concert is a plus. Once you find the trail through the part it is a short walk down the hill to the MRT station from which you can go anywhere. Public transit is modern, efficient, and air conditioned. The in house bakery makes spectacular breads!

The view of the Taipei nightscape from the balcony is incredibly clear and offers a unique charm. The balcony itself is beautiful and spacious, extending quite a distance. The staff was the most friendly. My friend and I arrived late at night, and at first, since it was our first time in Taipei, we had a hard time finding the hotel. However, once we did find the hotel, we were greeted by very friendly staff, who helped us with everything during our short stay. I definitely recommend this place, but do some research or contact the hotel ahead of time so you have an easier time arriving if you are using public transit or walking.
