This place was a gem! New owners have done a lot of work and continue to improve property. It was beautiful especially at night, lights everywhere to enjoy the cool evenings. Waterfall was lit up. We watched the sunrise over Mono Lake from our front porch & it was gorgeous. Very clean, very safe.

Ok. I guess prices are higher due to proximity to Yosemite. It’s across a high speed road across the lake with no direct entrance allowed to the water. But view of the water is nice. There seems to be a restaurant but when i went it was closed and no breakfast there the next day. Unsure when it actually opens.

Clean and quiet small rooms/cabins. I love that they provide plenty of good quality towels. Also, the beds were comfortable with firm mattresses and new/clean linens. The price and location were great. The rooms are just across from Mono Lake which was perfect for our road trip. It was convenient to stay here because Yosemite NP. June lake plus other lakes and Mammoth lakes are just a short driving distance from here.

This ‘step back in time’ no-frills, cozy, roadside inn is clean and comfortable - and conveniently located to the EAST entrance of Yosemite National Park. Located directly across the road from Mono Lake - you will enjoy a gorgeous view and beautiful sunrise! Also not too far north/west is the “Must-See” Old West Town of Bodie. A famous 1800’s Gold Mining Town with hundreds of original structures still intake! Road Trip Tip: keep plenty of drinks, water, snacks and a lunch in your vehicle as there are very limited stops for food/drink in either of these destinations.

We booked the Venita room (cabin 3) and I’m guessing there’s no pictures of it cause it was pretty dated in comparison to the other rooms that had pictures. Simple cabin room right off the highway so you heard the road noise at night. However the view of Mono Lake at sunrise was gorgeous and kind of made up for it. Was nice there was a fridge and the bathroom was pretty big with lots of counter space. It had a raised clawfoot tub only with a handheld shower head and no curtain so water got everywhere. The bed was a full size and extra firm mattress to the point I had to fold the comforter for some kind of padding and sleep with the flat sheet which wasn’t great. We chose this location due to its proximity to Yosemite and price in comparison to other places close by. Would we stay here again? Maybe? But I would probably splurge for a more updated room.

This is a great little out-of-the-way location for a couple of nights stay. it has rustic cabins that are connected. The staff was extremely helpful, but this is not a five star motel. The biggest drawback was it was right next to the highway with a lot of road noise, however, the staff did provide ear plugs. The rooms had very comfortable beds and the rooms were clean. Space heaters for heat and portable AC unit for cooling. For short stays, I would be happy to stay there again.

Very Quaint and lots of cool old vintage touches!! Staff runs the place during the Summer and has done a super good job with maintenance inside and out. Make sure to buy a few groceries as you are 20 minutes away from any stores. Only down fall was there were no TV's so if that's important to you, bring a device that you can watch movies on or book somewhere else!! Also if you have any special requests, call direct and don't try to email them...just a few small suggestions. But over all, a real nice experience and nice people running the place!!!
