The Maldron hotel in Finsbury Park is right by the underground, making it an affordable London stay with easy access to everywhere. The staff and the food was excellent. The room was very comfortable and clean. London is busy and Finsbury Park is a more congested area so we really appreciated the tranquillity of the Maldron hotel.

My room was clean and nice but the bedsheets literally felt like cardboard (I ran my hand down the sheet too quickly and it genuinely gave me a paper cut lol). There was also no TV remote in my room, the hairdryer was broken, and the steamer didn’t work. I told the staff at checkout that there was no TV remote and their verbatim response was, “Oh.” Annoying as it’s a great price and convenient location.

This was out first time here, we've stayed at The Travel Lodge just up the road once before and thought we'd try The Maldron. We checked in ourselves which was was easy enough, got the room keys for Room -003. This was in the basement, the smell down there wasn't very pleasant, smell of drains all the time. Our room was clean although very compact, also the AirCon doesn't go below 22 degrees, so it was very warm overnight. We had a couple of drinks from the Bar, the staff were very helpful and friendly on there. Hot Breakfast options were lukewarm, plenty of options to choose from with Cereals, and fruit. We visit the area quite regular to see out Son, so would consider booking here again but would definitely make sure we're not in the basement! Hopefully a better experience next time!.
