I visited Penang days before my uncle & aunt's arrival & I personally went to the hotel & talked to the floors r manager & front desk officer about my uncle celebrating his 80th birthday during his stay. They assured me that they would arrange something nice as a kind gesture. Unfortunately nothing came to fruitation. My aunt said no one called on his birthday. The room's furnishing are older & need refurbishment. The housekeeping crew don't clean well, considering it's a 4 star hotel.

Great service by crew members. From front desk to housekeeping. Major shout out to the doormen. Especially Parbat. Super helpful. Rooms were really disappointing. Our toilet had visits from cockroaches while my mother’s toilet had the drainage kind of smell throughout the 3 nights we stayed. Overall a major dip in cleanliness and comfortability of the rooms as compared to my previous experience last year.

Smelly bed, disappointing breakfast, mildew shower
My bed sheets smelled like sour sweat. Pillows and blankets are all brown under the sheets and covers. We made them change the all the sheets and coverings the next day. We saw our neighbor do the same thing. We were only given 2 bath towels and no face or hand towels. Our bathroom had a strong mildew smell and black mold all over. Breakfast was also a disappointment. It was so bad we decided to just eat out instead.
