The hotel smelled weird especially in the lobby. The rooms were old and the beds are double beds!!! They need to update this hotel as I will not stay there again

The hotel overall was excellent. The staff were great, very friendly. The breakfast in the morning was also good. The location of the hotel is good; close to a lot of great things, although it is a bit tricky to maneuver around when you're from out of town. The roads lack good driveways. The fan in our bathroom did not work which was inconvenient, because Indianapolis is extremely humid. I also didn't care for the way I couldn't get the bathroom door to stay open. The bed was wonderful. Good air conditioning. We appreciated the coffee maker in the room as well as the microwave and refrigerator. Not a perfect hotel, but very good. We had a great time!!!

This hotel is updated, has great amenities, popcorn/soda in pm, wine/beer in the evening/ great breakfast. Beds were very comfy. Great location right off the loop, restaurants, shopping, etc

Great value for well-equipped, comfortable room!
I was quite delighted with Pear Tree Inn. For $80/night my room had frig, microwave, large flat screen TV, a nice desk and closet. The bed was firm with 5 pillows. Wi-fi was fast. I was never there for breakfast so can't comment on that. One night around midnight, I asked the clerk at the front desk where the vending machines were. She volunteered to get me oranges and bananas from the kitchen. So much better than machine food! They loaned me an umbrella whenever I asked. Cracker Barrel is easy walking distance. Don't worry about the dreary entryway (it could use a fake potted plant and a welcome sign). Once past the second door, it is clean, bright, nicely decorated, very comfortable. If you're going to Newfields/Indianapolis Museum of Art, its straight down Michigan Rd. about 6 mi.
