## Neighborhood
The Lanes are definitely a large defining feature of Brighton, giving it its unique feeling. The area’s narrow streets and small holding boundaries are from the Middle Ages. Filled with one of a kind pubs, vegan/veggie cafes, kooky home-stores and market stalls selling anything and everything. Arguably the most atmospheric and unique area of Brighton, walking down you will smell incense and soup, hear the laughter and heckles from the market stalls and see weird and wonderful people amongst a dazzling array of colour. Here you’ll also find the city’s main Library, Komedia Brighton and The Royal Pavilion Estate. The Royal Pavilion Estate is a must see, being one of Brighton's most iconic sites. It was built in 1787 for George, Prince of Wales. It is surrounded by pristine and beautiful gardens which are perfect for relaxing in the Summer listening to some local jazz musicians that often play in the gardens.
## Transit
Parking in Brighton can be quite tricky though due to the new permit scheme, so you should be able to get to most places on foot as the flat is so central.
The flat is a five minute walk from Brighton train station, and bus stops are located pretty much opposite the flat front door! Taxi's are plentiful in Brighton, along with Uber which is very reasonable!
## Notes
There is a parking spot available which you are welcome to use, however it is allocated on a first come first serve basis. Please note that unfortunately the car park is unregulated, so whilst it is clear that the space is not open to the public, cars that we do not know park there on rare occasions.
It's worth noting that you are in the centre of a popular and busy city. We have double glazing, but there will be ambient city sounds and seagulls.
