The location of the hotel is great. Right across from Chinatown gate. So much was in walking distane and close to cable cars and buses.
Upon checking in we had to provide a $50 deposit per day of our stay which i coild get on board with but then they asked for an additional $40 "amenities fee" per day. When i asked if this was on yop of the daily room rate the response was yes to cover the daily breakfast and "happy hour". This isn't something you can decline. Breakfast consisted of sliced bread, some bagels and banana nut muffins, coffee, tea, apple and orange juice. Slim pickings for $40 per day. The happy hour was a nice offering but reallly when traveling ro a city like san francisco, you're rarely back for 4pm...and wasnt worth the beer and wine to come back for. Lastly, housekeeping is by request only and needed 24 hours in advance. We didnt really need daily cleaning but a change in towels. Each day it took between 30 minutes to 2 hours for towels when calling the front desk. In summary, nice hotel, decent room (although each day the shower backed up leaving both the shower and bathroom floor a lake), and great location. I woild just be aware of the extra fees for amenities that arent worth the money and the very slow response rate to requests when made.
