Nervous at first but would stay again!
The entrance of the hotel, the check in desk and the elevator were extremely small and I worried the room was going to be just as small but I was amazed at how big the room was! Walking into this hotel had me a little nervous to be honest just by the set up. The room was clean though. The sheets were clean. There was always hot water for my showers. I spent two nights and I felt comfortable in this hotel. The front desk staff was super nice as well. Again, I was worried at first at how small some things were but I enjoyed my stay. I would definitely stay again.

The Dixie was in a great location for the things we wanted to see and do. The room was unique and had everything we needed. The refrigerator was a nice surprise and the shower was great. There was barely a lobby though and the the entrance was not inviting. There are no amenities at all that I could see. Couldn’t even get a cup of coffee. There were no wash clothes in the bathroom which I thought was strange. We did have a rodent visitor the last morning we were there. I told the staff so hopefully they will try to do something about that. I mean it is New York! The staff was friendly and helpful overall it was a positive experience.

Lobby is really small and so is the elevator I recommend the steps but the hotel is perfect for a short stay and isn’t luxury but it is good . I would also recommend not booking if your party is larger than 6 people.

Some issues but peaceful night.
I was pleased at first because everything was spotless until I saw a lot of hair on a hidden corner on the bathroom's floor. I felt disappointed. On the other hand, I liked I could control the room's lighting however the medium-light I was looking for was unstable. It didn't stay midway and turned too bright for my liking. Later that day I discovered one light above the bed that worked just how I wanted. Despite the issues, I had a restful night.
