Hotel Chicago Downtown, Autograph Collection

Wonderful, as usual. We love staying here. Very reasonable, great staff, location and rooms.

I had a wonderful stay! Great location in the historic Marina City complex, clean room, and the bed was comfortable- absolutely no complaints. Catherine, at the front desk, was awesome and got me checked in quickly!

They were not friendly. They also didnt call when room was ready like they said they would. Room was dirty had hair all over. House keeping also never check alarm clock that was set from the day before so we were awoken at 545 am. Do yourself a favor and stay at a nicer hotel.

I'm on the fence. The check in was easy & efficient. The hotel & grounds are clean & udpated but the room fell short. The bed was super comfy! The bathroom had an updated vanity but the remainder (tub/shower, tiles, lighting) were not. And our room smelled terribly of grandma's house. Additionally, the furniture in the room is very old, outdated, and worn. The celing in the room & bathroom had some fixes done but they never repainted so it looks terrible. The view we had was nice, could see the river BUT we had to call & request this because none of my notes I made when booking were seen according to the staff. I required a seperate tub/shower due to a medical issue, which I called & specifically asked for, was told they could accommodate for our room assignment but we did not get such promise. Area around hotel is typical of a large city setting. Lots of food, bars & shops around within walking distance. We did not use the valet parking, insteade we used public self parking, there are 2 within a block or less of the hotel; for our stay & paid half the cost charged by the hotel.

The hotel is conveniently located just behind the iconic "corn cob" buildings on the Chicago River. Most major attractions are in walking distance. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. I really enjoyed the stay. My only complaints are lack of free wifi in the rooms and the hair dryer only had a slow speed so it took a long time to dry my short hair. There are a lot of restaurants in walking distance and there's a popular breakfast place called "Yolk" next door.
