Have stayed at the Sebel a number of times, one reason is the great location and being able to park on site. Unfortunately we were told on arrival that their was no parking left. Not happy! as I had an ankle injury and found it painful to walk from the downtown parking building. If I had known that I couldn't get a parking spot at the hotel I would never had booked the hotel.

Handy to eateries and bars, no need for Transport and if you do happen to need some train and bus station within walking distance.

The room was good. It was very quiet considering we were in the first floor. What was disappointing was the showers. They had very poor water pressure and verging on cold.

The Hotel is in a great location, with easy access to the viaduct and nightlife, this is good if you are wanting to be ckose to the nightlife but terrible if you dont. The website does NOT say limited parking, first come first served. I was sent to a parking buikding across the road. The hotel does NOT have enough sound proofing and all I heard were the nightclubs until 4 in the morning and then the boy racer vehicles until 5am. So as I was NOT there to go clubbing it is the worst hotel in Auckland as it does not have sufficient soundproofing

Staff were great with kids, got a little teddy bear for my daughter which was a nice touch. Location and views were great. There was an issue with check in, we had no keys for the stay so staff had to let us into room each time, tad annoying but staff did there best to make up for it

Pranjal at Reception was fantastic in trying to help us. He was the only good thing about our stay. However, no one is a miracle worker; he could not help the fact that this four-star establishment is run down and grotty. There was broken glass on the balcony when we got to our room, black stuff on the shower floor and smudges on just about every surface. Not to mention the place has patched up holes on the wall that haven't even been painted over.
