Fabulous estate home with perfect location
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, bed was one of th comfiest we have slept in. Grounds are awesome with wonderful walks. Staff are very welcoming and attentive. The only disappointment was the breakfast which had great write ups but was nothing out of the ordinary with supermarket sliced bread, and despite the menu description being plural the servings were singular! Note there is no lift and stairs to the rooms.

Fantastic period hotel with lots of period features and beautiful grounds. Staff were very friendly. Food in the evening was good and relatively inexpensive given the surroundings.

We chanced on this wonderful hotel. The grounds, the scenery and the mansion was beautiful. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I will be going back again.

Stayed in March 2018
Lovely hotel although it looks spooky from outside. All the stafff were very friendly especially in the bar and restaurant. Waitress for our 2 evening meals was excellent and good sense of humour during family dinner on 3rd night. Great view from the shower in room 8. Breakfast a bit overpriced but full English very good. Had trouble with WiFi in room but understandable as at top of house. Lovely grounds but too muddy to walk far due to recent weather.
