TRYP Madrid Atocha Hotel

Room was a bit tired and the bed only fair, however, shower was good, location excellent, the #1 metro was just outside the front door, breakfast excellent and they usually had cold water in the lobby.

I stayed at the TRYP Hotel for 13 nights, using it as my base to see Madrid and do day trips. I found the location perfect for sight seeing. The room was comfortable and quiet. It had a safety deposit box inside the room, which is an added plus for those of us who worry about carrying passports. The folk at the desk are helpful. The breakfast is high quality.

This is a very comfortable hotel in a very central area with access to many attractions. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. We ate breakfast in the hotel one morning. It was a buffet with an excellent choice in a bright airy breakfast room. Our room was to the front and although the street is very busy it was quiet at night because the effective air conditioning meant we could close the window. If we return to Madrid we shall book here again.

So helpful that the staff was at least bilingual. Also we arrived early and they were able to get us into our room early

The layout of the hotel is a bit confusing, probably due to the fact that it is several buildings cobbled together. That can't really be helped in an older neighborhood, but some better signage would help. Great location, though, and very friendly staff!
