This might be the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in! Everything was perfect - the bed, the bed linens, the shower, the pool, the service, the location, the breakfast. Just excellent.
Poor check in and check out experiences - passed from one Staff member to another, and then passed from one station to another after that. Took upgrade for €20 but room didn’t have a comfy seat! Window seat very narrow, other seats looked good but not nice to sit in. Uunclear switches in bathroom mean you put noisy blind on rather than lights, sliding doors into bathroom hung incorrectly, no working extraction fan in toilet or bathroom area. Rough, unpleasant sheets and the gap between the two single mattresses pretending to be a double gave us a bad nights sleep. Thanks to lovely checkout person who didn’t charge us for bar fridge when we said we had a bad night! Paths from station to hotel under repair. Man clearing snow from other path to station let us go first through the snow - grrr!
I’ve stayed before at this hotel and like it’s proximity to both the Main Train Station and local teams and underground rail services. Some of the area is a bit run-down and unattractive, however. The staff was excellent, answering every request efficiently and with great hospitality. Unfortunately, since we stayed in the room several times until the early afternoon, we had to frequently request the room be cleaned - the staff did not respond to the “Please Make Room” sign. As the hotel was a bit full, I ended up unable to find a seat or lounge chair in the pool/sauna area. The room was very interesting, with its Glas wall bathroom, and the bed and bedding were very comfortable. I can not say the same for the chairs in the room however. I believe they should be replaced with more practical, comfortable and pleasing alternatives. Finally - and this applies to most luxury hotels - I wish the hotel would view us as guests in our rooms and not charge ridiculous prices for mini-bar items. Consider that you might make more on the products if prices were lower and the guests were more inclined to consume them. End rant.
We saw a lot of dust covered table and floor in the room and it didnt get cleaned even with daily house keeping. But the overall room facilities and location was good.
Horrible experience. Mattress was in poor shape. The staff always promised to fix issues and then did nothing. DO NOT STAY HERE.
