Partial all-inclusive
Maybe I'm just particular, but when I book an all-inclusive, to me that's just what that means: all is included. The hotel materials also say that all tips are included. They are not. This hotel is has the most aggressive tipping policy compared to other similar, all-inclusive resorts.
Now I believe in rewarding good service and the service at this resort was excellent. But when I see tip jars everywhere, to me that sends the wrong message - if tips are supposed to be included. I just didn't bring enough single US dollars and after I ran out - that brought some unusual looks. After all, the hotel says that all tips are included.
The food and the beach are simply excellent. This resort has the best food and the best variety of food of any all-inclusive I've been to. But then the menu has other selections that are "additional". A Partial All-inclusive.
The beach and the pools are really nice and clean and they are well maintained, but if you want a cabana, well, that's $17/day extra. The result is that the cabanas are vacant and everyone is burning in the hot sun. See all of the empty cabanas in the photo. Partial all-inclusive.
Still, this a top resort for the beaches, the rooms and the food. BTW, the drinks are only so-so as they are much watered down. Beer and wine works well, however.
