If you like staying at a cookie cutter hotel (think Las Vegas) this place is for you. It is full of tourists and there are lots of families. Not a place I would recommend if you are going with friends or for a romantic getaway. As it is an all inclusive do not expect amazing food either, food and drinks were regular, nothing out of the ordinary. The room was ok and spacious, but it smelled like mold and my allergies flared up. It was also very noisy with lots of kids running around.
Great variety of restaurants, pools and beach access.
The property itself is beautiful so you can tell it was ONCE a five star resort. But don’t be fooled as I was. We came 4 years ago and loved it. Our return trip was terrible. Everything is declining. Food is inedible (25 trips to Mexico all inclusives worst food)
Great resort. Our first room wasn’t great so we upgraded to TRS and it was stunning! If you’re going to book I would recommend TRS right away!
Nature surrounding is beautiful. Food is very repetitive. Beach if shady. Sea floor is full of rocks and very shallow.
The reception and other staff were all very kind. Also food & drink were very delicious and satisfying!
The resort was clean and well taken care of. The bar service was good, but also fair in making sure everybody got served ( I tipped around $200 USD to the staff at the hotel over the course of about 5 days, and it mostly didn't impact service, they took care of everyone equally). Espresso drinks are easily had from almost everywhere on the resort, which I also found impressive. Negatives would be the pools close at 6 pm for cleaning regardless of what the website says. They keep one adult pool open but that didn't help us as we had 5 children in our group, who often were just getting back from day trips around the time the pools were closing. The food quality wasn't good, but most frustrating was the extraordinary wait times at any of the restaurants on the resort. It was a solid 15 - 20 minutes to get seated at the buffet any time of day, even though it would be half empty. For the other restaurants, an hour or more to get seated, usually when half of the restaurant was empty. This was for the restaurants that don't allow reservations. Once you got seated it would then be another hour to actually get your food. Because we had so many small children with, it made for a painful evening ritual to try and get everyone fed, and then with subpar food. The staff did seem to care and overall it was a good experience, but the food waiting issues I haven't seen at any other all inclusive resort, and I've been to at least a dozen of them.

We have been to this resort a few years ago and my wife wanted to return because she enjoyed it. The resort has changed, no more robes and slippers in the room, and the rooms require some serious maintenance. Our sink drain would not stay up so we had to pull the drain out in order to use the sink, you would think room staff would address this but never did. We had to constantly request enough towels for three people and our coffee supplies were never restocked, I had to chase down room staff for cream and sugar. Another issue was the glass brick windows in the bathroom could be clearly seen thru from the outside walkway, my wife had me go out and I could clearly see her in the bathroom waving at me.we had to cover it with tape and the laundy bag. the restaurants have gone down because a lot of the food was lukewarm and their was not much variety. A lot of the same stuff everyday (I don't think I ever saw a non burnt piece of bacon while there) The staff was great but the quality has gone down. My wife couldn't wait to get to the El Dorodo restaurant to get their short rib dinner because we used to love it. This time it was very mushy and my wife and son couldn't eat it. The resort is kept clean and the beaches were decent, but we couldn't get over the amount of cats on the resort. Every day we would walk by hundreds of cats on the property. i.e restaurants, lobby paths to buildings. I have never seen so many cats in my life on a resort, it doesn't help that guest feed them
