This hotel is in an excellent location as it is close to a metro stop, minutes from a large park and easy walking to the downtown area. The area is quiet at night. Excellent service from all staff and in particular the doorman. The hotel was spotless as was our room. Highly recommend.

Great hotel for location. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. The room was a great size and bathroom very good! Only down side, the room backed onto another building (we were at the back) so there was little natural light but not a big deal. Would definately stay there again

Very comfortable, efficient, up-to-date, well-appointed mid-size hotel in nice neighborhood very close to the high-end shopping district but also set back from the main drag in quiet and tree-shaded neighborhood. Extremely convenient location for getting around, and a great introduction for me to Lisbon, a wonderful city. Great hotel staff, extremely helpful. I would stay here again, highly recommended.

Great hotel in a good location to get out and about in Lisbon but in a side street so not so noisy or busy. Metro and tour buses within two minutes and a pleasant 20 minute walk to the central squares. The hotel facilities are good and the staff are pleasant and very courteous without being too overbearing. Cant fault our stay as all in all very good value and would recommend without hesitation.

We throughly enjoyed our three nights stay. All the hotel staff were extremely friendly, helpful and always had a smile. Our room was very clean and the bed and pillows very comfortable, ensuring that we had a good nights sleep. The hotel was very near to the metro and centrally situated for sightseeing. Would definitely stay there again!

Wonderful property and a great location! I enjoyed staying at PortoBay Marques very much. Staff was professional, courteous, helpful and very friendly. Room was cozy and clean. If I have to come back to Lisbon I will chose to stay there again.

Super close to the subway station and also within walking distance from other major sights. Nice big bathroom and water kettle in the room. Breakfast buffet was very good although limited in terms of glutenfree options. Staff very friendly but not always very fast.

All hotel staff spoke English and were very courteous with regards to all requests including recommendations for dining nearby and calling for airport shuttle. During our stay the amenities used included the restaurant, hotel bar, sauna, iron/ironing board and rooftop terrace all of which were top notch. Hotel is in a great location too. Metro station is around the corner as was an ATM. Highly recommend staying at the Marques de Pombal.

Wonderful room. Great mattress, bedding and shower. Good breakfast buffet. Attentive staff. Would have liked spa facilities to have been available later in the evening. Also, a full length mirror in the room would be appreciated.

Excellent small hotel slightly out of centre but within a 15 minute walk. Metro station and bus stops close by so easy access to centre of Lisbon and other places. Friendly helpful staff. Breakfast excellent and even during busy times staff are helpful in getting you a table as soon as possible. We ate at the restaurant one evening and had a lovely reasonably priced meal.

Very clean, charming hotel in a great neighborhood of Lisbon. The hotel staff was exceptional and always eager to give suggestions on food, shopping and tours. We stayed for 3 nights and had a very pleasant time. Highly recommend!

Great location away from tourist trap areas and 1/2 block from metro station for quick transportation to all areas of city. Hotel staff was friendly, efficient, knowledgeable about all city aspects from restaurants to sights to transportation. Great accommodations, bravo!

Service was second to none, with fantastically polite, helpful and professional staff. No request was too much trouble and, when asking about local sites, directions were clear and helpful, including transport options. The hotel is about 20 minutes walk from the old town - which seemed a disadvantage at first, but which proved a benefit over our week in Lisbon, as it allowed us some peace from the tourist hubbub, as well as very easy access to transport for sites outside Lisbon central. Excellent breakfast buffet with lots of variety. Private upstairs terrace, open in the evening to guests only, as well as seating area in the front of the hotel for a quiet coffee or evening drink (the hotel is on a cul-de-sac so minimal passing traffic). The only slight disappointment was the rooftop pool - more of a large plunge bath - but the roof deck gave good space to sun and relax. Would definitely recommend, and would stay again if once more in Lisbon.

Comfortable hotel in very good location within walking distance of many attractions but in quiet and pleasant street Staff were very helpful and gave lots of advice. We found bar service rather slow on the one evening we drank there and compared with everywhere else we drank we drank in Lisbon the cost of the G&Ts was v high at 16 euros each. Lots of other places to choose from very close by though. The rooftop pool nice to cool down at end of day - a cool down not a swim! - but we couldn’t get bar service up there despite a few efforts - although it says it’s available.

Great hotel close to centre of Lisbon - convenient for all the main sights as it is right next to metro / bus stops. Staff were really friendly and suite was great for family. The small rooftop pool and terrace were a nice bonus as was the fact our room had a large balcony. Although really central the hotel was nice and quiet.

A very lovely and very friendly hotel that was a brilliant find. Ideally located to explore Lisbon I would not hesitate to recommend. I am sure breakfast was great but we opted to go 'local' and enjoy many of the little cafes nearby.

Very comfortable hotel with cute lobby and nice rooms. The rooftop pool area is relaxing.

Nice hotel close to Pumbal metro station and the base for all the hop on bus routes just around the corner. Roof top bar nice with an honesty system in place. Unfortunately the rooftop plunge pool was on a separate level to rooftop bar. Handy convenience store next door.

lovely hotel where e arrived 1 day late due to fight delays but where upgraded to superior room for our 3 days stay, room was very modern rear facing no view very large onsuite only complaint was bed was hard up against one of the walls due desk on other side. in these day to climb into / over beds not acceptable. Hotel location slow 15 min walk down past lovely expensive shops to main centre which was excellent

We had a wonderful time at this hotel. The rooms are comfortable and clean. John the bartender is amazing. We had excellent cocktails and he made our stay more enjoyable.

We’ve stayed in several hotels on this trip to Portugal. This is my favorite. The staff is friendly and super helpful. The room was nicely decorated and immaculate. We weren’t there long enough to use the pool or gym areas, but they appeared to be very nice. There are a lot of restaurants in the vicinity and the area is safe and walkable.

Hotel very nice, but pool very small.

The hotel is in a very elegant part of town. It just happened to be the Feast of San Antonio and the whole city showed up for a parade, with dancers and singers. Since the Parade was happening around the corner from our hotel, we were able to see everything. The Portuguese people are very happy and full of life. It was great to see all ages participating. Loved the hotel and the staff, who were all extremely helpful.

The hotel is located in a quiet street just off the main Avenue de Liberdade and only a 20 min walk to all of the main areas. There are a number of good restaurants and cafes within a 5-10 min walk should you choose to stay local. The hotel is immaculate and the rooms very well equipped. The staff are very welcoming as we're all the Portuguese we met in the city, couldn't have been friendlier. We would definitely recommend this hotel and it would be our first choice if we were to return to Lisbon
