Embassy Suites by Hilton Huntsville Hotel & Spa

Hotel desperately needs an update. The furniture is old and our room had clumps of hair on the floor. Needs a cleaning; dust everywhere. They charge $10 for parking in their own parking lot. Good location, but hotel needs improvements. The hotel staff that checked us in left us to go fold towels.

This is my second stay here. The first time wasn’t great, but I’m fine with a mediocre hotel since it has an extra room for the kids to sleep in. However, this hotel has only gotten worse and I will definitely not stay here again. There was mold in the shower; broken light switch in the bedroom; top sheet was too small to stay on the mattress; coffee and food is barely edible, and so on.

Huge Fountains are all turned off or broken, makes the lobby look very nasty with lime crusted eye sores everywhere you look. Just a very bad vibe here. One friend went to the pool and was told she had to wear a mask while IN the pool swimming. Dumbest thing ever! We will NEVER support Hilton EVER again.

The hotel was very clean, staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was scaled down due to covid but at least they still had that. Loved the managers reception each evening. The only slight negative was they don’t offer free WiFi unless you are a Hilton rewards member.

The shower wasn’t what I expected being that the hotel looked do nice on the outside and inside the lobby. It just sad the drains in the floor of the shower and the water was all over the floor. Other than that the room was nice and clean.

Bathroom was outdated and neede a face lift. The shower head and the sink faucet both squirted water out. Also, as a privacy issue, there should be a way to have heavy curtains in both the front and back living areas.

I would’ve given it great ratings but our room smelled extremely musty. We figured out that it was probably because of a giant wet spot that we had to avoid on the carpet. Other than that, the staff was helpful, the happy hour drinks and breakfast were good, and the location of the hotel next to a river walk was perfect.

Check in was hectic, I was charged more than I was originally told the cost would be, I had to pay for parking even though the parking garage was full and I ended up parking in a surface lot, the free breakfast wasn’t ready at the stated time so I had to skip of, the bed was uncomfortable and the pillows smelled strangely and were lumpy. The furniture in my room (I was given a handicap accessible king suite) was old and not in great condition. Overall I felt disappointed in my stay my and frustrated that I had spent more money than it was worth.

We enjoyed the size of the suite. Plenty of room for 3 kids and 3 adults to move around and sleep comfortably. The pool was cooler than I’d hoped. The water was cloudy. My kids still enjoyed it. No staff walked through while we were there and there were some rowdy kids and the towels ran out. Free drinks at the bar and free hot breakfast was very nice. The room could have been cleaner.

Everything the staff could control was lovely. The room was clean, the staff was welcoming, friendly and helpful. Only complaint I have is that the rooms didn’t prevent smoke odors from other guests, which means the HVAC and doors likely also didn’t prevent virus transmission between rooms. I mean, the smell was so strong it woke me up, twice!
