It took me an hour to checkin and 45 minutes to checkout. They couldn’t find my COVID results when I checked out, which I needed to get on the plane. They told me to leave without it and they would look for it and email it to me. I didn’t feel comfortable leaving without it because the nurse said she didn’t remember giving me the COVID test the day prior. I almost missed my plane due to their incompetence and all the staff was worried about was that I signed my credit card receipt the same way I signed card. The was nice, but the elevators are very small and outdated. The pool closed at 6 so there wasn’t much to do after that.

Went there for my birthday and I informed the hotel prior of this but nothing special was done to make the day special. I requested a crib for the room and this was provided. Deon the waitress at breakfast was very nice and persons there tried to make you as comfortable as possible. Only one restaurant is open and it closes at 10pm. The food at times was good. The bar was horrible! If you dont frink alcohol, you won't be accommodated as there were no fruits to blend and coconut comes at an additional charge of $5. The rooms need SERIOUS updating- jacuzzi doesnt work properly, ac needs fixing and the fan doesnt work. The beach is lovely. No mask or personal hand sanitizer is given to guests so walk with yours. More hand sanitizer stations are needed and they need to be automatic.

The property was huge! Lots to see and do, but unfortunately it rained our entire stay. The food was fantastic though. Wish we were able to enjoy the grounds a bit more.

This hotel was beautiful, the grounds are expansive and very well kept. There is plenty of room for social distancing. Evening shows were great and held at the beach, again allowing plenty of space among guests. The only issue was the food, which was a bit repetitive at the buffet. It was difficult getting reservations to a la carte restaurants, as only 2 were open. The staff was amazing, always funny and made sure guests had a great time, even during a pandemic.

I have to admit, at first, my girlfriend and I were a little nervous about this resort due to all the recent bad reviews but now after staying there for a week, we had an amazing and loved our experience.Our room was clean, and was actually on the luxury side even though they said it was closed. The resorts entertainment team and DJ enjoyable, hype, and really gave resort the Jamaican vibe we were looking for even though we had to stay on the resort for most of our stay. The all-inclusive drinks and food were worth the money!! The bartenders, room service, and other staff were so kind and friendly. We met a lot of people from all over the world and loved every single excursion we did ( especially Dunn’s river Falls, but definitely take the catamaran to get there, it’s a party boat!!!) Overall the we had really great time, best way to spend our New Years. There was a party everyday. For the people that wrote the bad reviews, remember Grand Bahia is one of the most affordable resorts to attend to right now, you get what you pay for.

The staff were genuinely very kind. The food was great although I wish it were a little more authentic. I tend to forget resorts like to cater to tourists and serve bland food compared to what the locals would normally use. The rooms were very spacious and nice. Our room had an A/C leak throughout the duration of our 7 nights though, and we assumed this was an ongoing thing as someone came in to fix it/check that it was fine despite us not calling about it. Another thing was that it was annoying to have to call everyday for a bottle of water. Otherwise, great resort. So much space with a great layout and an endless pool. I would definitely go back.
