Brief stay but enjoyable
We picked this hotel for its location and value. It is near to get to the modern restaurant area in Hue from here (near DMZ bar) But also close to the bridges over to the Imperial city. We were here during Lunar New Year so it was very busy which made for a great atmosphere. Hotel facilities were good and breakfast gave a good selection.

The hotel staff was excellent, room was clean and comfortable and free breakfast and WiFi a plus. The hotel arranged a great boat tour to the Pagoda and Citadel as well as transportation on a "sleeping bus" to Hoi An.

The staff at this hotel are absolutely amazing. After checking out of the hotel and arriving at the airport for my departing flight, I realized I left my cell phone in the hotel room. I did not have time to go back to retrieve the phone and called the hotel in a panic. They sent someone to find the phone in the room and bring it to me at the ticket counter in the airport. Absolutely amazing! I cannot recommend this hotel strongly enough!!

Had a great time in Hue City and the Cherish Hotel
When we reached the hotel, we were greeted with a glass of juice. A Vietnamese girl in traditional costume gave us information about a City Tour. We booked the tour for 88K dongs each - the tour was well worth the cost. Next day, we enjoyed buffet breakfast at the Terrace Restaurant on the top floor with great views of the city. We met with Vinh Luu Phuoc, who instantly connected with us. He met us every day when we went for breakfast. He spoke English very well and we enjoyed talking to him. The tour bus picked us up from Cherish Hotel at 8 AM. The tour started with a boat ride to the Thieu Pagoda. The guide Ms. Trang gave us very interesting information about Buddhism and each of the attractions we visited. The lunch at the Spring Restaurant was especially nice. The tour covered the Hue city very well and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Next day, we took the train for a scenic ride through the Hai Van pass to Danang and back. I tried booking the train trip on my own, but it was hard. I asked Lam at the hotel reception and he booked it for us for a mere $18 each for the round-trip journey in AC coach with cushion chairs. All in all, it was a great two days in Hue City and staying at the Cherish Hotel.

Staff were very friendly and breakfast was good. There is a pool, but it’s very small; we were told we would be rung in our room once the pool was less busy, but after an hour of hearing nothing we gave up. Rooms are a little dated and worn, but would still recommend this hotel.
