Beach view was good. Bar was good, food was good and room was clean, but was not equipped with the essentials like a washcloth. Although we asked for washcloths, we didn’t receive any until the next day. Staff need more training on customer service, and greeting the guest.

Our stay at Royalton Chic Antigua was extremely disappointing, despite its “luxury” label. The outdoor dining made meals uncomfortable, and food service was slow, with limited drink options and frequent shortages. The overwater restaurant required a tip after a long wait for appetizers, despite being all-inclusive. The “Diamond Club Butler” service was ineffective, with limited availability and ignored requests. The room had a cockroach, the fridge wasn’t restocked, and there was no minibar. Pools were dirty, elevators were broken, and there was a persistent sewer smell. Towels were scarce, and despite online check-in, the process was lengthy. Airport transfers weren’t included, and the private transfer we paid for wasn’t private. The entertainment schedule was inaccurate, and excursions were canceled. Staff appeared unhappy, and service felt forced, with tipping being necessary for minimal attention. Our anniversary was ignored, and inappropriate comments were made about my acne. Overall, the resort failed in service, cleanliness, amenities, and hospitality, making it a complete letdown for the price. We would never return and advise against staying there.

Our stay at Royalton Chic Antigua included some positive aspects, but overall, the experience did not reflect the value of what we paid. Check-In: The check-in process was unusually slow. Despite paying for premium accommodations, we waited in the lobby for several hours before receiving our rooms. While the staff provided welcome drinks and checked in on us during that time, the delay was excessive for a resort in this price range. Room Access: On the day of checkout, our wristbands were deactivated before the 12 PM checkout time. We returned from the pool at 11:30 AM and were unable to access our rooms. It took multiple trips to the front desk to resolve the issue, which was inconvenient. Housekeeping: Housekeeping services were minimal. Over the course of three days, the sheets appeared not to be changed—only the bed remade. This fell short of standard expectations for a high-cost resort. Dining: The food was underwhelming. One evening, the Haven Grill ran out of food. Breakfast mainly consisted of continental items and pork, with turkey bacon available only by request and not prepared in advance, which led to long wait times. Drinks: The drink service was the most consistent part of the stay and met expectations. Diamond Club: Several members of our group had Diamond Club access, but the upgrade did not deliver the promised experience. Communication around included services and vouchers was unclear, and butler support was unreliable.

Diamond Club "pool bar" was practically closed. Had to get out of the pool most of the time to get a drink when the bartender actually was there. They had staffing issues and bartenders were either late or didn't show up at all so they had to shift people around. Diamond club upgrade was a complete waste of money. I received nothing more than anyone else in the resort and again the diamond club pool was hardly even staffed and had to get drinks from the lobby!

Over all the property was good. The service was slow at times and they ran out of some of the liquor. Steakhouse was great and it was not hard to get a reservation. The pool experience and the ocean was awesome. the staff was friendly but they ran out of the good food like jerk, chicken, and oxtail. Transportation to your excursion was on point.

Very very kind, helpful and respectful staff all over the resort. Dining options easily accessible and great buffet food. Watersports easily available on beach. Very convenient and all very easy to navigate. Will never get over how absolutely kind the staff was. Special shoutout to Martha in the kitchen!

Overall best well rounded stay I've had in my 7 trips to the Caribbean. Stayed Diamond Club and was able to get into every restaurant while there for my 5 night stay. Typically with Royaltons, you cant get in the first day and have to settle for dinner at the buffet. The butler service came through and made it happen which was great. The view from the room was great and the room was nice. Only difference from other Royaltons was no liqour cabinet in the room, but that doesnt matter. If you do drink alcohol, they did provide a solid selection for Diamond Club. English Harbour is my favorite rum and they did have it at the resort. You do get one free dinner at their exclusive restaurant which was awesome. Food was good overall and enjoyable. Entertainment was good. Standard things for anyone that stayed with Royalton. Encouraged participation but not pushy which is perfect. Only left the resort once to play poker at Boardwalk Casino. Others said excursions are good but just stayed in. Would go again and was definitely worth it.

Our stay at the Royalton Chic was truly relaxing. Although not perfect the staff did their best to provide excellence. The hard work of the staff was a breath of fresh air. Especially if you're looking for a get away from the noise that life presents us. I would return back to this resort.

I usually research a resort thoroughly before booking but this trip was planned by someone else as their birthday trip. Pros: the beach water is amazingly clear and beautiful. The resort is not crowded. The butlers in the Diamond Club do what they can for you, but they work with what they have. The massages at the Spa were amazing. Gelato was tasty. Shirley Height is a must-do tour. That will be the best food you will get during your stay. Cons: This is not a friendly country. You will not get warm greetings and smiles. The resort food is absolutely horrible. No exaggeration. Imagine paying $7K and having to order room service for a burger or go to the small buffet for pizza because the food was just bad. I don’t know how many times I heard “oh we are out of that” or “we don’t have that right now” or “we are waiting for our stock”. And that was with food, liquor/drinks, replenishment of chips in our room, reservation choices…almost everything. The pool tiles were coming off under our feet. The highest category of rooms were mediocre. Beds are hard. The hydrotherapy pools at the Spa smelled rancid when we turned on the jets…had to get out. Definitely an infection waiting to happen (showering is optional). Most restaurants are open air only or the a/c was broken making it open air seating. Pool DJ doesn’t know how to read the room. Shows were mediocre. Save your money. Trip was memorable because of who we are, not where we went.

Best food item…saltfish and Bake. No oxtails…no patties.

I’ve seen a number of negative reviews posted here, most citing complaints about housekeeping, food quality and other first-world issues. But while we encountered a few areas that are in need of improvement, such as replacing some tiles in the pool, some erosion in need of repair on the Diamond Club beach and some inconsistency in the food quality, none of them stood in the way of us having a great week of vacation. Virtually everything from grounds to the restaurants, the pool, the beach area, the staff and especially our room either met or lived up to our expectations. We booked our stay as part of a package deal through Expedia and totally by chance ended up in the Diamond Club, which turned out to be worth the extra cost because of the perks it offered. The biggest benefit was the butler service. Miguela made our dinner reservations for us, brought us drinks from the bar and lunch from the food truck so we didn’t have to leave the beach, and was always just a text away whenever we needed something. Despite it being a big resort, the beach was always uncrowded, the grounds were well-maintained, the restaurant reservations were always available and the bartenders were all very generous with their pours. The vibe was always upbeat, which made Royalton CHIC Antigua was a great place to Party Our Way!

The resort is decent. Hotel needs better management. I booked a room with a king bed and ended up with two queens. I was promised a king bed for the next day and that never happened. Hotel always running out of something made reservations for the Italian restaurant tried to order chicken parmigiana was told there’s no more then I order a margarita pizza and the waitress brings a plain pizza. Housekeeping cleans the room sometime during the day come back to the room to get ready for my dinner reservations there’s no fresh towels to take a shower was told to call the front desk for new towels it took an hour to get towels which made me miss my 8 o’clock dinner reservations. They didn’t restock the refrigerator with water or beers after my third night there. And then one night we go to the sports bar I place two orders of wings and fries for myself and my fiancé the girl brings out eight wings and no fries so I ask her where’s the fries she says she forgot and takes the plate back thinking she would just bring out an order of fries. She brings the food back out and there’s only four wings and fries I ask where’s the other order at she tells me that another couple order before me and gave them my other four wings which she sat in front of me and I touched them smfh. How do you place food in front of someone and give it to someone else.
