The Eldon Luxury Suites

I loved this hotel when I stayed there before, but this time the air conditioning wasn't working and the staff tried to mislead me that it had just been temporarily not working and that it would get cool. When I got back to the hotel (somewhat late) and it still was not cool, they said I could leave right then and get a refund, but of course I was too tired. They gave me a discount, but I would rather have been able to sleep since I was there for work. Pathetic.

The place is excellent. Highly recommend it!

Disappointed with the customer service, physical structure of the hotel and the room we were assigned. We arrived to a room temperature of 72 on the first day. The ac unit would only allow us to reduce temperature up to 68, so we waited for the temperature to go down to 70 which is our usual level of comfort. That unfortunately never happened. The temperature would only rise. On the final night the temperature of the room was 77 and humid. Windows do not open in the room so it felt suffocating. We requested some assistance and were told to turn off the unit, wait a few minutes and turn back on. That did not help. When asked for a fan since nothing appeared to be moving towards a solution we were told to go down to the reception to pick it up. For over $200 a night, you would hope for at least some accommodations but I guess that is just asking too much. By the time we checked out, our room temperature was 79. Additionally, the toilet was faulty and required a plunger and their “free” internet is definitely not reliable and would not work for the entire first day of our visit. On the second day it would only work if we were in the living room of the suite, near the router.

The hotel was clean but it was hot. The room was hot. We asked to have the temperature turned down because when we turned it down it stays the same temperature. They keep saying they did but when we get in the room it is the same temperature. This would be a great place to stay in the winter but not in July. Hotel is located in the center of the city.

The hotel and the service was decent but the reason for a lower review is that we booked a room for 4 adults with a queen bed and a sofa bed. The sofa bed was super uncomfortable. It wasn’t even and the metal frame hurt both me and my brother’s back real bad. We had booked it for two nights and after having such an experience for the first night our backs were so screwed that I went and spoke with the manager and all she said was that all the rooms have the same problem. This was a huge disappointment for us and made our stay really uncomfortable. I wouldn’t recommend anybody taking the rooms with the sofa bed.
