Hotel Tramonto d'Oro

Everything was wonderful- wonderful fresh breakfast, clean tasteful colorful rooms, very friendly and helpful staff. We also had a nice dinner at the hotel. Great location to top it all off.

The family is clearly proud of their hotel and service as they should be. We met aunts, a neice and grandma. They went out of their way to call, check in and ensure we had the very best service possible. They arranged a boat trip to Capri for us that was perfect. We had chef's choice multi-course dinner that was very good. We also ate at the pizzaria just east and it was good. The hotel view of Positano is beautiful and better than dealing with the tourist traffic.

Cozy,friendly,clean. Family run they make you feel welcome and go the extra mile to make sure you have a pleasant stay. Breath taking view. Dinner was delicious Carmela the owner made sure to stop by our table. We will definitely come back without a doubt and bring our friends.

Great family owned boutique hotel with an outstanding view

This is an excellent hotel with amazing views, the warmest staff and service, and wonderful food! Just lovely!

The hotel is beautiful and the staff so friendly and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble.

We ended a three week trip to Italy at this hotel and it was by far the best we stayed at. This hotel is unbelievable. When booking this trip I was upset that staying in Positano was so expensive. But now I’m thankful because it led us to this hotel. The staff was the friendly and accommodating. No matter how busy the staff were, we were always greeted with a genuine smile. Our room looked recently renovated and was incredibly beautiful. It was also very clean and the bed was comfortable. But the best part of this hotel is the sunsets. Pay the bit extra to have a sea view room with a balcony and you will not be disappointed.

This hotel is amazing. I loved every bit of it. It’s not very close to Positano but it’s close enough. I will stay here over and over again. The views are to die for and it’s so relaxing, you’ll never want to leave your room. Get a room with a view, it’s a must if you’re visiting Amalfi Coast.

Lovely hotel. Staff are very helpful and nice, breakfast is a truly amazing selection. Was a great romantic getaway.

There are two things that distinguish this property. The first is that it is owned and operated by the same family for over 60 years. At breakfast and dinner (all of the food was wonderful), Carmella and her mother would stop by our table to chat. Many of the staff were part of the family and you feel it immediately. The second is that Praino is quiet and not overrun by tourists. I was glad not to be in the villages of Positano or Amalfi for that reason. The facility was wonderful except the bed was a little too firm and water pressure in the shower could be a little higher. We would definitely return.
