The location was perfect! Walking distance to many tourist attractions and convenient for people taking the bus. The front desk was very helpful in obtaining information nearby. Kanazawa is a beautiful city and I would love to visit again! The room could have been cleaned better. I noticed some dust on the tables and furnitures.

Good hotel stay but the check out was lousy!
I enjoyed staying at this hotel as the room even though being quite small but comfy and very clean! I guess for Japanese standard this room size was about right! I like the cleaning staffs, especially those elderly who cleaned our room. She was very nice and worked very hard. We stayed at the hotel when super typhoon Hagibis making landfall in Tokyo area so we're not affected much as we're in Kanazawa., n the day we're supposed to check out, we had requested for late check out as we had to go to train station to see if the train were running or not. To our disappointment, they didn't grant any late check out and even made us leave at 11:00am! Very indifferent to the guests even though we stayed there for 2 nights! If we want to stay later we had to pay! Another minus is the staffs speak very little English!

Convenient location and friendly
The hotel is very convenient for sightseeing because it is located very close to major landmarks including Kanazawa Castle, 21st Century Museum, Korinbo night entertainment, Kenrokuen Park, Oyama Shrine and Samurai Home District. The room is not spacious but clean and new although my room was a smoking room which smelled cigarette a little. The staffs are very friendly and kind. The breakfast buffet was too crowded around 9 am and we had to wait 15 minutes in the lobby until called-in. The buffet cuisine is good mix of Japanese local and western style. You can choose what you prefer. Free-WiFi is available like many Japanese hotels.

There was a glitch thru Expedia where they listed my reservation as 2 guests when it was just me, but the hotel wanted to charge me for 2 people because that's what was listed even though I told it was just for me and there was a mistake. Thankfully, my friend speaks fluent Japanese and only upon her insistence to inquire with the manager did they waive the double guests hotel tax charge. The first day we had their breakfast in the designated dining area off the lobby it was fine, but the 2nd morning was chaos as they must have had a several bus tours book to capacity. People had to wait in the lobby until the limited tables became available. Seems puzzling why a hotel would design a dining area that cannot accommodate full capacity guests?
