Fantastic stay. Everything perfect with the hotel. Good quality food in the restaurant. You need a car or to take taxis to get to anything.The owner Max was very friendly and helpful.Great views and lovely pool with beautiful view of the sea and mount Pico on the neighbouring island.

This place is amazingly beautiful. Views of Pico and it's volcano, and the town of Velas. People are great. Restaurant is great. 5 minute drive from the airport. Could not have been happier!

The apartment was was just perfect and you couldn’t beat the amazing views Mat was also amazing working with me through all the mishaps getting to Sao Jorge the only bad part was that my stay was cut short one day is not enough Already planning a return trip

Let's start with the people. Max, the manager at Cantinho das Buganvillias, has been more than accommodating to our group of 12 from picking us up at the ferry late at night to taking us on a full day sightseeing tour the next day. He was super fast at responding and he spoke fluent English too, satisfied all our needs. Our group rented 3 large and clean 2 bedrooms apartments with basic kitchen ware and cooking stove (2 deluxe and 1 superior deluxe upstairs unit) -- all had lovely views. It's got 1 bathroom but has both shower and tub separately so 2 people can shower at the same time if needed! Pretty awesome to wake up to the sound of waves and birds. If you are lucky you may hear the funny sound that cagarro birds make at night! Fantastic view overlooking Velas and you could also see the tip of Mount Pico from the complex. Outdoor pool was a bit small and located at the back of the apartments but the indoor pool and jacuzzi were pretty nice open 8am-8pm. There is also a yoga room too. What a cute place, wish we got to stay there more than 1 night! Next time!

Large apartment style suite with mediocre amenities. Beds are very hard. Beautiful view of Velas and Pico island from our patio space. Nice indoor pool and gym. Apartment was infested with ants. Breakfast buffet was limited but satisfactory.

Appartamento grande con una bellissima vista sulla cittadina di Velas e sul vulcano di Pico sull'isola di Pico

Com uma excelente localização com vista para as Ilhas do Pico, Faial, bem como para as Velas de São Jorge, poderia ser um magnífico local. Mas não é, de modo algum. A qualidade do sono é dos aspetos mais importantes para o bem-estar e a saúde, pelo que espera sempre quartos agradáveis. Ora os quartos com grandes vidraças expostas ao intenso sol, bem como sujeitos à elevada humidade da ilha, tornam-se extremamente desagradáveis à noite. Na publicidade refere que os apartamentos têm ar condicionado. É verdade que a sala tinha, mas não é com um aparelho que o resto das divisões fica climatizadas! Resultado: Três noites a dormir com má qualidade... e não só eu que me ressenti, porque o mesmo aconteceu com a minha esposa e as duas filhas. Como se não bastasse, na terceira noite os hospedes do apartamento ao lado decidiram ficar à fresca até 0h30, em barulhenta cavaqueira. Não utilizei a piscina exterior porque apesar da água estar límpida e com dois skimers a funcionar, não me apercebi de robot de limpeza ou ralo de fundo. Certo é que o fundo da piscina não estava limpo. Como falava em translado para o aeroporto e nós chegámos pelo porto vindos da Ilha do Pico (só tinha automóvel no dia seguinte), telefonámos a perguntar se faz o transporte. Mooi complex waar men vanop zijn terras een prachtig zicht heeft over de baai. Alle comfort is ook aanwezig. Enige minpuntje is het sofabed in de living dat niet zo comfortabel is.
