Stop over stay
Room was clean, and had everything we required, and breakfast was lovely with ample choice. The food at the restaurant is highly recommended, the menu had a good range of starters and mains and it was good value for the quality. We stayed here as a stop over to break up our trip to Kent. There is a Freeport shopping 20mins down the road and other local attractions but we didn’t visit them.

The hotel bedroom was lovely but it was freezing. It was a very cold night so I would have expected the hearing in the room to gave been switched on. One I had switched it on and after a while the room was very warm Food was fantastic

What is there not to like?
Love this place. Historic main building but lovely modern bedrooms in separate buildings. Staff wonderful, very professional and friendly. Food beautifully cooked, would have liked more variety on menu though. Lovely bathrooms. Very cosy throughout.

The room was lovely, comfortable and plenty of tea coffee and little details Ensuite was really nice, full wetroom and nice hot powerful shower Downside is that if you are in a ground floor room and are unlucky enough to have people above who like to march up and down their room until the early hours, you could be in for a restless and frustrating night as there is a lot of movement noise from the floorboards. So, ask for a first floor room if possible

Modern comforts in an olde world setting
A charming hotel, with external accommodation adjacent the the restaurant in a tranquil setting was just what I needed. I wish I hadn't eaten on route, I could have sampled the menu, but breakfast was good and I will presume that the meats were locally sourced. i will go back again.

This place is lovely, rooms are nice and comfy, and very clean The bathrooms are really nice and big wetrooms, with great showers The food is very good, and the pub is nice and cosy, with beautiful gardens and surrounding areas We have been here a few times now, and will always go back when in the area

Excellent quality bedroom. Superb shower and shower room. Food extremely good. Could benefit from light at dressing table for those doing paperwork. Extremely clean
