JW Marriott Hotel New Delhi Aerocity

My major moto is to get a break from everyday chores, it was a perfect break at Marriot aero city for me.

Service was great all around. From dropping off the car with the valet, to thermal scanning , to check in process; everything was flawless and took less than 10 minutes. Room upgrade to suite was a welcome experience and the best was a view of the runway from the suite! Also surprising was when any member of the staff asked my name, and they wished me a Happy Birthday which was a really good attention to detail point. This made my day more special. To add on to this surprise was that the room was fully decorated with balloons, flowers and towel art, all compliments of the hotel itself! Inside the suite was a welcome package which had two each of the following: Sanitiser, Face masks, cleansing wipes. The room, the overall premises were clean and maintained. Pool, gym and spa were closed per the government guidelines though. There were no in room dining menus or mini bar pamphlets, and everything was easily accessible via QR codes presented upon checking in. Included in the staycation package was Cocktail happy hour (6-8 PM) with good selection of alcoholic beverages. Dinner and breakfast at restaurant K3 were a breeze with chef Ashish and his team presenting exemplary hospitality and great tasting food to go along with it. Service was quick and food was fresh. Special requests were also entertained within their constraints and everything was handled with smiles. Check out was a simple process and making use of the in house app, we were able to call upon our car from the valet

Great staff The ameneties were limited due to the COVID19 restrictions. The breakfast buffet was excellent as always.

When I checked into the hotel on the evening of 20 February upon arrival in Dehli I told the staff member that I would be returning on 29 February. They looked it up and informed me that there was no upcoming reservation for me. I spelled out my name and asked them to check again. I was again told there was no booking in my name. Given that, several days later during travel I made a booking for a room on Expedia. The hotel claimed a double booking was made, after the fact and charged for two rooms. Despite several contacts the hotel failed to reply regarding the final resolution of this and charged for two rooms. I have stayed at the JW Marriott six times in the past three years but will no longer do so. The hotel is overall good, but overpriced and a bit tired with a need for some refreshing.

As a westerner new to India I liked the location (lots of restaurants very close). Liked the fact you could book a driver quite easily. However, one thing of note (as it is a JW Marriott) is the quality of the build. The bathtub in my room had been patched, the trimming of the shower recess was falling . However, with most hotels a lot of these things can be overlooked when you have such wonderful STAFF.

Superb property. Staff is very polite and courteous. Buffet selection is good. Rooms are very clean, modern. Will definitely stay again.
