ow do you get up onto a 3ft high bed?
We understood the Covid regulations and dealt with them: free Coffee! Every morning 2 blueberry Muffins with 2 little butter packages + 1 fork, at the door. We were shocked about the hight of the beds ! Mattresses 34 " high. Sitting on the bed was impossible and the irony of everything was, only ONE chair was in the room. When we asked for a 2nd chair we were told that would be a different kind of room category. So we, 2 seniors stood mostly on our feet, shared a chair at breakfast time. Climbing up the bed at night time was a mountain climbing experience. At check-out time , when we mentioned the hight of the beds, the receptionist said we should have asked for a stepping stool. We were not sure if it was a joke, or just a new method to accomodate exaggeratedly high modern mattresses. We were actually good problem solvers: we used the ironing board and a clean towel as our buffet table. At $ 199/night on Friday and Saturday..... we deserved an extra chair. And a bed we could sit on. But the surroundings were beautiful. That's why we stayed on.

The service was great however there were numerous spiders and little beetles that we found in the room. When we first got into the room a spider web was on the chair. I would definitely spray the hotel for bugs as it was not a comfortable stay after that

The view is spectacular for Fall colors! Our room had a perfect view to the Mississippi in all it’s glory! Covid did limit a little but the staff made sure we felt safe by wearing masks and the room was extremely clean. They gave us muffins and fruit for our morning which we had with our coffee while we enjoyed our spectacular view!

We were so happy with our stay! With everything going on, I brought disinfectant wipes to wipe down the high touch areas & let me tell you, my wipes were still white after doing so! The room was extremely clean when we arrived, very impressed. We had lunch at the restaurant outside (great food and fast service) then did the zip line and alpine slide. It was nice to be so close to all of this and head back to the room to refresh before heading into town. I do wish the bar/restaurant was open later than 9pm. We would’ve liked to come back to the restaurant and have some appetizers and drinks after dinner downtown, but that’s just a personal preference. Overall
