Cute little property in Queenstown. Host was easy to communicate with and the property was in good condition with comfy beds and warm showers. However, if travelling around Tasmania, I would not recommend Queenstown as a place to visit - it was like a ghost town. We arrived on Saturday afternoon, all the shops were closed and there wasn’t a soul in the town. It was quite eery.

We stayed overnight at the Tea Tree cottage at Mt Lyell Anchorage. We were scheduled to take the Wilderness Railway from Queenstown, but it changed to Strahan two days prior to our travel. I was thinking about cancelling our stay at Mt Lyell Anchorage and booking something at Strahan instead. Now I'm glad I did not! The cottage was clean and spacious. It had everything we needed. The living room had a heater, the rooms had heaters and beds had electric blankets, which kept us warm and toasty through the chilly night. The kitchen is well equipped and you can rustle up a nice dinner and breakfast if you need to. Joy was an excellent host. Unfortunately we could not meet her, but her instructions in helping us find the property and getting access to the cottage were exceptional. My son forgot his toy tiger at the cottage. Joy was wonderful in posting it back to us (after sending us some lovely photos of little tiger having an adventure - my son loved those photos!). Thank you Joy! We will definitely come back! :)

The property is awesome. Centrally located within queenstown. Walking distance to food places and iga, what else can you ask for? Had a chat with joy the owner and she is very hospitable. She helped answer all my questions. Definitely 5 star!!

Owner couldn't be more helpful. We were upgraded to larger room. Character property with lovely modern bathrooms. Linked with Paragon theatre, we enjoyed dinner and movie there .

It was very nice, well maintained property - quiet and centrally located. We had access to the kitchen and could use it any time and free laundry facilities.

Wonderful! High quality bed and breakfast accommodation. Charmingly furnished, clean, fresh, and well appointed. Joy is a woman who cares about her property and the happiness of her guests. it was a delightful, and comfortable experience and we only wish we could have stayed longer.
