Bartles Lodge

Su and Paul were very welcoming and made us feel at home. They were very kind towards my mother-in-law who is vulnerable due to a health condition; they checked she was okay and looked out for her. Breakfast was delicious and had an excellent choice of menu items. The rooms were comfortable, the shower lovely, the setting very relaxing and a very nice atmosphere. Su and Paul were very helpful, and we would stay here again.

Very quiet. Beautiful Green environment and Fish ponds outside. Good food. Friendly chat.

WiFi does not work in room and had booked hotel which advertised WiFi I’m order to be able to work. Would not have booked this hotel had I been aware of the lack of WiFi. Only stayed one night out of two I’d booked because of this.

When we arrived we were met by Sue and shown the bar and dining room And our room - we arrived in the dark so this was helpful We initially thought the decor of the room (Room 3) was a bit dated however the bed was Large, extremely comfortable with white cotton sheets and extra blankets and pillows available The room was warm and clean Bathroom clean and shower worked well Lovely outlook over the lakes with the ducks and moorhens Good breakfast Sue was Very kind and cooked my boiled eggs twice just to make sure they were right - really couldn’t do enough for us - Thankyou

The location was perfect providing peace and quiet.

My Son and I were only at Bartles for 2 days for the fishing,{excellent}.The owners were very friendly and accomodating. Room very clean . good facilities. The breakfast that we had both days was exceptional. Would highly recommend Bartles Lodge for all groups of Travellers.

We had a lovely weekend in bartles the hosts were so friendly and made us all feel very welcome, Breakfast was lovely the rooms and settings are fabulous

very welcoming hosts. lovely, quiet area but easy drive to lots of places round about. comfortable, clean rooms. Unfortunately no wifi all the time we were there but wouldn't put us off going there again

The owner, Sue, who was very helpful and kind. Paul, for cooking us some lovely breakfasts. Great to be able to look out of your bedroom window and see the ducks sunning themselves outside your window.

We stayed here for the weekend with my daughter/ partner and son /wife . The rooms were lovely. The setting was brilliant with ducks and ducklings in the courtyard and on the ponds . The service was outstanding and breakfast was superb. I would recommend that anyone wishing to stay near Norwich to stay here .The Mermaid pub next door did fabulous food . I look forward to revisiting Bartles Lodge again
