This hotel was ok. Large rooms but a bit dated. The front desk and the dining staff were excellent. The issue we had was with the housekeeping staff and the inconsiderate noise level at 7:30 am outside our room. The we’re talking on a radio at max volume and on top of this yelling to each other across the hallway. I asked if they could be a bit more quiet as it was 7:30 am and my husband was asleep but they continued at this noise level. Another issue is across from our room is a school that is very noisy. There was a school assembly outside at 8am and a speaker on a microphone that went on for about 30 minutes. If you have the option to have your room face the other way that might be best. The staff at the buffet are really kind and attentive as mentioned earlier. This made up for our other experience.

The hotel has a very opulent feel to it. Our room was clean and comfortable and well air conditioned. It's reasonably close to the walking street, but you'd probably want to take a cab to get to the Citadel on a very hot day.
