Substandard Accommodation

It all started from the moment the owner escorted us to our unchosen room (room 6). When we arrived in the room it looked (cozy) v small. Then with closer inspection it became apparent that the en-suite facility didn’t include a sink within but positioned in the bedroom. The shower itself was minute a converted store cupboard approximately the width of wc, while sitting on the wc your knees touched the shower cubicle. The shower is designed for someone who is extremely thin. We couldn’t get the light to work in the shower cupboard and with the door closed you were in immediate darkness. We called for the owner who advised the light was a mobile push button that omitted minimum luminary’s.....I asked to move rooms and was told there weren’t any available which wasn’t the truth as the sign on the exterior door said vacancies..... I asked for my money back and prepared to book elsewhere and was told I couldn’t be refunded ...... wont be revisiting or recommending this Accommodation

The personal attention given was exceptional, really clean and comfortable accomodation which included toiletries and gowns. An amazing choice for breakfast was offered. Ann was very helpful with suggestions of where to go and how to get there and even provided some freshly baked cookies. Absolutely faultless and will definitely book a stay there again.

Truly exceptional

Very nice B&B. Ann (the host) is very knowledgeable about events and amenities in the locality. There are many bars pubs and restaurants within easy walking distance the "Old Town" is well worth a visit and is about a 20 minute walk, if you get tired of the fish and chip shops and the amusement arcades. The accommodation comfortable and spotless, Ann must spend all her time cleaning. The freshly cooked to order breakfast is second to none for quality. We really enjoyed our stay and would have no hesitation in recommending Swandale. Book with confidence.

Lovely from start to finish

Lovely hotel close to all amenities, easy parking friendly and knowledgeable staff and management lovely meals great breakfast spread lots of choices. A great place to stay.

Lovely stay at this B&B very friendly owner stored our bikes as we’d completed the Way of the Roses great location as not far from finishing point. Great breakfast and a nice room lots of little extras from toiletries to dressing gowns would stay again.

Generally the property was excellent, I didn’t have a toilet or bathroom in my room but this was not a deal breaker for me. Everything was clean and well presented and the proprietor made me feel most welcome. I was using the property as a place to rest overnight as I was working in the local area so I didn’t sample breakfast, but the owner offered to wake up early to prepare breakfast ahead of there normal meal times. It’s a place I’d definitely return to and the price was reasonable given it was summer.

Lovely hotel and friendly staff. Great location to the beach. Only criticism was the check in and check out. Not sure the details on Expedia are correct as I rang to let them know we would be later checking in and was told i had to be there by 7pm or couldn't check in at all. Our check out was 10am and not 11am as was on my details (which i only found at 10:30am as i was still in the room!) The only hotel details we were given at check in were the keys.

the appearance was the first thing that caught my eye very well kept garden area and inside it was just the same spotlessly clean and even with children staying at the property it was very quiet i would definately recommend this property
