Pleasing ambiance, friendly staff, rooms and common areas in good condition. Nice pool if required. Big shame that the food let everything else down. Ribeye steak was overcooked, rubberlike and flavourless. Hate to complain but I could hardly imagine a worse one. AND, my experience with breakfast was identical - Ive never put a more unpleasant scrambled egg in my mouth. It was like trying to eat a rubber duck.

I didnt use the spa facilities or the restaurant but the room itself is great! My only complaints would be not enough choices of hot beverages in the room.

I liked the location - near Hadrian's Wall and the Lakes District. The only thing I didn't like was the tendency of the front desk to disappear unaccountably.

Modern Hotel hidden in the countryside between Penrith and Keswick just off the A66. Good facilities and restaurant. Walkways between car park and hotel need improving in places as not suitcase friendly.

Beautiful location. Great rooms and facility. Out in the country, so have to drive for restaurants other than the one at the hotel, but not a problem as long as you plan ahead. Great Wifi as well.

was really pleased about our stay and the spa is good , just one fault and that’s the restaurant, the menu is very boring and have never been to a restaurant we’re there was no chicken on the menu , they have chicken burgers and that’s it , we had duck , but sent it back as it was very chewy , think it was frozen duck , also the breakfast is good as long as you eat it very fast as it could do with being a bit warmer , cold beans , uhh Overall the staff are very friendly and helpfull , but price wise I think it’s exspensive , we paid £266 for a 2 night stay , I would go back to this hotel again but I would only be prepared to pay a minimum of £90 a night , and you have check out of your room for 10am , should be a least 11am
