I should have known better than to choose a place with a single 5 star rating, and no comments. I want to start with the good, however. The girl who helped us, Carmen, was very friendly. Carmen, if you read this, thank you.
Now, the bad. My friend and I stayed here as the turnaround point of a 2 week long motorcycle trip from Reno, NV to Whitehorse. It was cold and raining when we arrived, but we were both looking forward to a hot shower and warm bed. When we arrived, there was a sign on the door that stated the host was around but not in the office at the moment. The sign left a phone number and said to use the phone in the laundry room to call. Odd, but whatever we did that. The only phone in the laundry room required the use of a credit card to make calls...that wasn't going to happen. Fortunately, I did have a cell phone with an international plan so I called and Carmen said she'd be right over. Five minutes of waiting in the cold rain and she pulls up. Excellent.
Here's what we stayed in:
-Dirt and dust on everything...I'm not talking out of the way things, the table that the TV sat on hadn't been dusted in a while
-The water had a wonderful metallic smell to it. Needless to say, we didn't drink any of it but showering in it was disconcerting.
-Something was clicking away in the bathroom that was attached to the radiator. It was enough to keep me up even after riding the entire day prior.
I couldn't recommend this place based on my time there.
