We had just finished a 3 week camper van trip through Italy Slovenia and Croatia and spent our last 4 days at ES. Our room was on the 4th floor and that meant climbing 75 steps up and down since there is no elevator. They also said they provide a breakfast but that wasn’t true. No breakfast was provided at all. When we got checked in and hauled our stuff up the stairs, we were relaxing and enjoying the view from our balcony which was so nice to have. We were playing cards on the balcony and it started to rain, so we took the game inside and used the foot of the bed that we had not slept in to finish the game. As we were sitting there, we noticed there were bits of dirt, lots of dark hairs, short and long and what looked like urine stains on the comforter. It was late in the evening so we stripped the bed, slept on the top sheet and in the morning I folded up the linens and took them downstairs to make sure they didn’t get put back into the bed. The staff was very apologetic and we were given all new bedding. There is a small refrigerator in the room that kept our drinks cool but not cold. You can get free ice at the TBone Station restaurant not far from the hotel. The staff was very friendly and the hotel location was ideal for seeing the sights in and around Rome.
