Used the Arise Brisbane Skytower Apartments as a base while attending meetings in Brisbane Central station is an easy walk away. The Queen Street Mall also in easy walking distance. Restaurants and cafes all around. Two bedroom self contained apartment very well appointed, good wifi.
We chose to stay at Arise based on our previous experience. Had this been our first stay then there would have been no second time. Apartment was at best compact and lacking in basic amenities - 1 wine glass, no plug for kitchen sink, one tiny saucepan and a fry pan. Don't plan on self-catering in 2914! We did request items from staff on our first night but had to ask again on second night. There was no internet for 4 of the 5 days we spent there despite daily requests to have it resolved. Reception staff were very average. One of the security staff, Sheraz, was helpful in trying to sort the internet but it was beyond him. Nice views and good location.
Booked for two nights. View was amazing. Issues: 1) Shower was leaking, 2) internet was not working, both were fixed the following day. 3) Drains did not drain water properly, so after showering the water would seep out to the living area, had to spend time wiping, and without a mop it took much longer. 4) TV was missing a remote according to the tech. 5) One of the two dining chairs had a broken leg and was loosely fit back in. 6) we found an old loaf of bread in a cupboard 7) coffee, tea, sugar not refilled 8) jar holding coffee/tea broken but instead of clearing it away, it was just turned so that the intact end faced outwards 9) Toilet paper not restocked, only had half a roll 10) dishwasher stank All these issues during covid times meant the cleaner did not do their job properly. The front desk manager replied to my email providing the excuse that these were missed. Not coming back again.

Very disappointed , we picked up the keys and then went to Christmas lunch and didn’t return to the hotel until last at night, when we got into our room there was rubbish already in the bin, used dirty towels in the cupboards ( went looking for an extra pillow ) and dirty hand prints all over the walls ( we were unable to change rooms as there was no one at reception ) also the second bedroom the door can not be opened properly as the room is so small the door hits the bed and you have to walk in side ways which is really hard with am asleep toddler. The master bedroom has a window into the lounge room and the blind isn’t as wide at the window Was very disappointed in the cleanliness especially in the times of covid
1.) the previous tenants used towels were in the washing basket on top of the washing basket in the kitchen. Even pre COVID this would be unacceptable but in today’s day and age this is totally unacceptable. 2.) Lids (Multiple) from the hotel supply toiletries were on the floor from the previous customer. Clearly not cleaned; 3.) The room is filthy, dust dirt and hair everywhere. The rug in the living room has so much hair you would think it hasn’t been vacuumed in weeks. Actually it probably hasn’t. 4.) Huge hair left on bedside table from previous tenant. This was a ladies hair about 2 feet in length. Another example of poor cleaning 5.) Used tissues left under the bed, bad cleaning and in COVID times we just hope that these tissues didn’t have snot on them. I haven’t touched them and they are still there. 6.) Smoke alarm beeping every 30 seconds as the battery is flat. Surely as they would be cleaning the room you would hear this and fix it. Maybe that’s the issue as it wasn’t cleaned? We had to go and buy our own 9v battery so we were able to sleep in the room as the beeping every 30 seconds is un liveable. 7.) 1 drinking glass in the room. One! We had to buy glassware to be able to have a drink of water at the same time. 8.) The sofa that is almost unbearable to sit on. The sofa is like concrete. It’s so ridiculously hard. Never had a sofa this bad in a hotel. We are probably being a little picky with the couch and appliances but why bother having a couch if you c
Great room on the 60th floor. Pool was a bit yuk but other than that it was a fantastic 4 days
Our room was so dirty when we arrived. Big wet stain on the carpet and hand prints on the walls. Nice and new apartments but they need to get their cleaning and room preparation sorted.
Like the cleanness, parking, location and the access to the hotel’s restaurant and so on.
The apartment was dirty, the carpet covered in stains, and was ripped in three places. Overall the property felt “cheap and nasty”
