Azura Beach Resort - All Inclusive - Adults Only

This was our second visit to this hotel and this time I took all my family (11 of us). We had a lot of issues with my room when we checked in, as the lock didn’t work. Although I suggested to move us to another room, we had to wait about 3 hours to fix the lock. We were given a bottle of Brut for the inconvenience and were offered a late check out, which both were highly appreciated After that, our 3 night stay went a little more smoothly. However, there were still problems: Many of the plates on the menu were not available, and they run out of some liquors. Breakfast was not the best as the options are limited and; for example, the bagel with salmon, was served without the salmon as they didn’t have salmon…which was frustrating Local breakfast was served cold most of the time and service was slow. I think the hotel lack personnel at this time, and the waiters/waitresses do all they can to fulfill all what the hotel is missing. Our stay was saved by Jose, our waiter, who always goes beyond his duties to serve us. He is definitely the example of excellent customer service. He is efficient, accommodating and understanding. He makes things work out and take action to solve any problem. Thanks to Jose ! Spa service was great Communication takes place thru WhatsApp and response time is slowly To summarize, the hotel management should take action to improve all the negative aspects that showed up in this trip as last June -our first visit- everything was great.

Wonderful resort, staff was amazing!! One common issue people complain about is the hot water system. It is a solar system, and you need to run the water for a bit before it warms up. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

No hot water during our entire week long stay!

Management was aware a week before our stay that their hot water system was not working and was unlikely to be fixed in the foreseeable future. Management failed to do the responsible thing and inform us of this and give us the option to cancel (without penalty). We had no hot water during our entire stay - 12/25/21 to 1/1/2022. While we understood that the hotel had to make some changes due to the pandemic, there was no housekeeping and we had to repeatedly ask for changes of towels and toilet paper. Not the five star that we expected and paid for. This property was not ready for ‘prime time’. Many of the promised amenities were not available. To add insult, management failed to respond to my two correspondences regarding these issues. This property has the potential to be great but it’s not there now.

After arriving at the hotel, we waited four hours to get into the rooms. Hotel staff were unable to unlock the door locks. After 45 minutes probes, they decided to change rooms. As soon they open new rooms it turned out that the rooms are already occupied. After next passing minutes we entered to vacant rooms. In the room we found refrigerator with no water or other beverages, coffee maker but no coffee. Hotel staff say that they have problems with coffee supply. It's hard to believe how one of the biggest coffee exporters in the world has problems with the coffee supply for coffee makers. The hotel towels are very old, torn and with holes. Restaurant staff has a lot to learn about the protocol of serving meals. For seven days, we never received exactly what we ordered. Resort itself and the rooms, pool is in good condition. Swimming pool requires frequent cleaning, often floats in the water a lot of leaves. The hotel staff is inexperienced. You often hear answer to your question - I don't know, I only work one week, only two weeks etc.

The waiters, concierge, food and comfort were wonderful. There is a problem with hot water at some times in the day, but it is a great location on the ocean and I would recommend it for anyone.

Amazing place to chill and relax, great staff with amazing attitude to help. They need to fix the showers and the sinks since are very dirty and the water don´t go out properly. Food is solid, can improve for a $300 night hotel. My biggest complain will be that regardless they have an amazing team of workers with such a good attitude in my opinion they are short of staff and to have lunch or dinner will take you between 1.5-2 hours to eat and sometimes that is too much. Overall its a good place to relax and have fun, very quiet. Don´t expect any crazy parties, they should have some kind of bar to go for a drink after 10pm (when restaurants close). The no kids allowed is a plus to have some peaceful rest.

We were there 2 years ago . We liked it so we decided to come back . What a difference not in a good way. Positive: restaurants were good for lunch and dinner . Restaurants staff was very friendly. Drink choices very very good . Top shelf liquor. Beach was nice with gorgeous sunsets. Negative: housekeeping non existent, room is not getting cleaned at all at the 5 star hotel( they are claiming for s safety of the guest and staff ???) But reality is the management is trying to save money on housekeepers . Hustle to exchange bath and pool towels . Toilet was flushing every other time. Nespresso machine in the room but no coffee . When I asked for capsules the answer was : we have coffee in the restaurant!!! Pool area very dirty I only saw it been cleaned one time during weekly stay , our swim out pool was not cleaned at all . I had to request if. Oh , and no hot water for almost two days . Front desk staff : friendly when you check in and rude when you check out . For a rapid Covid test results despite charging $65 per person ( other hotels are offering it for free) you have to wait 10 hours wondering if you will be able to fly out the next day . Breakfast choices are terribly limited. Bathroom close to the pool was disgusting. We had to go the room every time to use the bathroom. It is a shame as hotel has a lot of potential .
