Excellent location with stunning views. Rooms starting to look tired and require update. Breakfast very nice and service excellent.

The vegetarian options on the beckside bar menu were extremely limited and could not be modified in any way to accommodate a vegan diet, even the pizza based had milk powder in them. We ended up with a bowl Of chips and some rather insipid looking road vegetables.

We had a great stay at this lovely hotel. I cannot comment on the pool as we did not use it. The staff are all lovely, a bit busy at breakfast so you may encounter a slight delay on your hot food when the restaurant is fuller. It was a lovely room with fell views, a comfortable bed and a clean bathroom. We got exactly what we were looking for. I would stay here again.

Great one night stay, great service from all the staff, wonderful room with ensuite. Fabulous ambiance to the whole hotel. The breakfast menu was out if this world served in a dining room overlooking the lake and mountains. Right in the centre of the lake district with easy connections to both north and south.

This is a lovely hotel, with view of the lake. The service from all staff was exemplary and there are lots of amenities as part of the hotel's package. The included breakfast was really nice, there is a great in-door pool & sauna. I would definitely recommend this hotel

We had booked a weekend away, and following the pictures on the web we booked an executive room, don't bother, the room was dirty, with scratched fraying furniture, there were cobwebs hanging in the bathroom, and there was an unidentified blob left on the wardrobe. The bathroom is a health and safety nightmare and breakfast less than average, complaints are met with, I'm writing everything down, but in not authorised to do and thing about it. Avoid this place at all costs.

Lovely ambience - friendly staff, comfortable room with lake view, easy car parking. Short walk to pier & took round trip on Ullswater; worth a stop at Pooley Bridge. Easy walking round lake. Good hotel for our short break.

Good stay with everything we needed. Clean and well appointed hotel with lovely views of the lake. I especially enjoyed a swim in the morning.

Had a nice night here. Really like the beckside bar... food was great. Pool was nice also. The hotel is in a great location, room also had a good view. Only problem was during breakfast one of the waitresses was rather rude to my partner. She wanted to move to another table that was free by the window and the waitress got angry. I think it was a language barrier problem and abit of a missunderstanding hopefully. still it was abit awkward.
