Hyatt Place Warwick / Providence Airport

When I made our reservation (to visit our son and his family) I emailed and asked if covid would be a problem, as we each had both of our vaccinations. I received a response that it was fine and our arrival was being looked forward to. When we got there, the clerk (Christina) was helping another guest because she could not print the room key. When it was our turn (15 mins. later) I showed her our reservation and our vaccination cards. She told us RI does not recognize the vaccines. Had me sign a waiver and then had trouble printing our keys. Finally took us to our room without keys. The lock on the door did not work. We called her. 15 mins. later she came to see if it was working which it was not. We told her it was fine. We go to bed after a long day. Someone knocks on our door to fix our lock! No one called us to tell us. We refused it. We go to sleep. We are awakened by loud drumming sounds. We call the front desk. Sue tells us its the HVAC. This was 2:00 AM. We told her we were leaving. We showered and went to the desk. My husband asked her to zero out our bill which was done. What a nightmare. We drove home 5 hours in the middle of the night with no sleep. We will NEVER visit this Hyatt ever again.

It was an excellent stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable. The only thing that wasn't perfect was a little bit of mold in the grout in the shower. Other than that it was perfect. We travel to Rhode Island often and will stay there again.

I got the hotel specifically so my kids could go swimming, called the location prior to make sure it was open. Upon arriving I was told the pool was closed due to a bloody nose in the pool. That it would be open tomorrow morning. (I did not see 1 person cleaning it & blood you dont play with so my kids didnt get to swim) Then i had to deal with what sounded like a kidnapping next door yelling screaming sounding like they were going to come threw the wall at midnight. After listening to it for 20 minutes I called the front desk the front desk attendant said she was coming up (NEVER CAME UP) I listened to 3 dudes BANGING on the door next door making threats & the female yelling screaming inside the room another 20 minites later after they woke up all 4 of my children police arrive. It became a big deal now almost 3am the female was removed & the 3 gentleman (the party) were back. I physically went down to the front desk & the attendant blantely did NOT CARE. I paid decent money for a terrrrrible stay an not even a sorry. never again will i stay there.

This is a first-rate hotel. There are a lot of amenities but some were limited by COVID at the moment. The area around the hotel is a bit stark but there was a fine restaurant within easy walking distance. The room itself was spacious and superior.

clean and convenient especially if you are flying in or taking the train (T station is right behind the hotel)

Clean quiet

Overall our stay was great we love Hyatt. However we arrived at 4 o’clock to check in, and our room was not yet ready. We were turned away for an additional hour. We arrived at five to check in again, and our room still is not ready. We had requested two queens. We had to settle for a different room even though we were very much looking forward to the room we requested online.

The pool was fully booked and closed for our stay, the free breakfast was a choice of a piece of fruit, a prepackaged muffin or yogurt. The women running the breakfast area told my children, husband and I that we can choose only one item. The worst part of all was the bed had two bedbugs on it, prompting our entire family to sleep together on the pull out couch bed. I am utterly shocked.

The room was stylish and clean. Excellent location, adjacent to the airport and near highway. Great shower and well laid out bathroom (better than average for this price point). The bed was so-so, not a very high-end mattress. The hotel offered no housekeeping, but forgot to mention that at check-in. I would definitly stay here again (but not for the sad breakfast offered in the morning, it is a few boxes of dried cereal - fun to watch people's reactions when they saw it at 8am).
