Mount Lavinia

Really nice guesthouse with a shared kitchen and a comfy living room area which added a really nice touch! Room was large (bigger than I expected), so was the bed which is good for me, and very comfortable as well as nicely decorated. Room had it's own bathroom with shower.There was plenty to choose from for breakfast too. Our room was very clean as was the whole household. Easy walk to Sheringham high street, beach and station, as well as great eating places too (I recommend the Indian just a short walk away called "Labone"!). Car parking was big enough for all of the guests, no problem there. Only a handful of people staying there at any time by the looks of it as I think there are 4 or 5 rooms in total (?) and everyone was very polite and nice. The owners were very nice too; we spoke to them in the morning when we checked out and they were a lovely couple. Overall, very much recommeded! Thanks for a lovely time!

Nice clean B&B. Breakfast is help yourself but would have been nicer with fresh croissants.

Really nice little place, but definitely more like a house converted into rooms - perfect as a place to base out of if you are planning on visiting different areas along the Norfolk coast. Didn't have breakfast as it was served between 8:15 - 9am for our room (breakfast times separated to allow for COVID guidance). But a few very good places to eat in Sheringham (around 5-10min walk to the town centre/beach. Would certainly recommend The Sitting Room for coffee/breakfast and Fat Teds for an alternative fish and chips experience :D

Quiet and comfortable stay. Short walk to local town and amenities and the free parking was always available

The owners are lovely and friendly. The breakfast is continental rather than cooked but a lovely spread was put out. The room I had originally booked was not available due to plumbing problems but the alternative room I was given was comfortable. The key collection was straightforward and there is parking on site for guests. There is a nice communal lounge and kitchen/dining area. There was a small area of damp above the window but most of the rest of the property was clean. Would recommend for a quiet relaxing stay if you are in the area.

Our room was beautiful and very spacious. The breakfast in the morning had a vast selection of things to choose from too.

The hosts of Mount Lavinia made us welcome. The bedroom (named "Cromer") was warm and the en suite bathroom likewise. Although there was no cooked breakfast there was a huge array of fruit, cereals, pastries etc available, so we didn't go hungry!

I didn’t like the fact that there was no one there when we arrived at 17.00 and were supposed to get a key out of a key box which we could not see in the dark. The owner came down but blamed us for not answering a phone call although no voice mail or message were left. The bathroom mats were horribly stained and the floor dirty. The bedding was clean but the bed very low. The carpet was stained. There was nobody else in the house all night. Breakfast was continental and looked like quite a range but as we were not certain of good hygiene we did not have any. I would not recommend it and will not be returning, even if we could find it again which was not easy in the dark.

Nice and quiet off rd parking a walk into town,very clean. Downsides were the breakfast and the bed,also poortv in the bedroom. Breakfast was full of savoury products I.e cakes waffles e.t.c. just picked toast and tea. The bed needed replacing ,it was most uncomfortable . We were there on our own but if the place was ever full it would be to small and let uncomfortable.
