The Inn On The Lake

Very peaceful and beautiful location. Friendly and efficient staff, the social distancing was very organised and plenty of hand sanitiser everywhere. We had a beautiful room. The orangery was a lovely relaxed setting for dinner. Cannot fault our stay.

Lovely hotel in a perfect location. Staff were really attentive and the hotel was well maintained, especially with the new Covid regulations having to be followed. We’ll definitely go back!

Beautiful dual aspect lake view room. Room was spotlessly clean and staff very welcoming and friendly. Afternoon tea probably the best we've ever experienced - everything was very tasty and there was a plentiful selection of cakes and desserts. Evening meal in the orangery was very good. It was overall a great place to spend a relaxing couple of days. Only complaints would be that due to Covid-19, room was not serviced during our stay, which for the price of the room was a shock. The hotel provided fresh supplies but we had to unpack these and empty the bins ourselves. Although the cooked breakfast was nice we found the portions were small. One of us only wanted bacon, sausage and scrambled egg from the options and after ordering this, received one rasher of bacon, one sausage and one spoonful of scrambled egg.

The hotel is lovely. Everything is modern, clean and tidy. The room we had was actually an accessible room which was huge. Modern room and bathroom. The room also had a tablet on the wall to control music for the room and bathroom, really nice feature. All modern lighting. Even the bedside table had wireless chargers built in. I was impressed. The main bar area is smart with plenty of drink to choose from including up to 8 different draught lager. Our only let down was a meal in the Orangery. The steak which wasn't cheap we both ordered. We sent both back as inedible. It is a different kitchen to the main restaurant. I'd recommend eating in the main restaurant. However they did not charge us for the two meals. Lovely lake views. Would stay again.

Stunning view of the Lake. Excellent room, helpful and welcoming staff, lovely atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and would definitely return.

Fabulous location for walks. Dog friendly, lovely food and drinks. Will certainly be back soon.

Lovely location and staff very attentive

One of the nicest places i've ever stayed. The views from the Hotel are stunning and the surrounding area is lovely and quiet. Amazing trip away.

We've used this a couple of times at the end of a walking holiday. It's a nice place and they accommodate us well.
