The welcome and service was great. The meal was fresh and home cooked . The room was quirky but clean. However the bed was really uncomfortable / hard and quite unpleasant.

Great welcoming staff. Lovely historic inn and cosy, clean room. Had a great night's sleep. Beautiful area but easy to find off the M6. Great food. Very pet friendly, and warm atmosphere.

Very pleasant stay at Cross Keys Inn. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The bathroom could do with an update but it was clean.

Great country pub nice room with corner bath and shower very comfortable bed great food. Only down side was nothing to do with the pub only I had to leave early due to a family problem

Lovely place very friendly
This was booked 10 min before i walked through door. Great facility on hotels.com working away on route to another location. Weather terrible so decided to look for "my location " on app and this place came up. Lovely warm welcome. Bags carried to my room by a lovely young man. Restaurant food was amazing. Warm comfortable good size room. Very quiet location. Breakfast was really good quality. All staff very welcoming. Definitely would stay again if in the area.

We arrived mid Storm Dennis, the location was flooded however, this was handled very professionally by the staff, to a point where our stay was not really impacted - Will definitely be returning, lovely location, locals very welcoming and the staff couldn't do any more to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

The stay was booked last minute. The service and friendliness of the staff warrants a special mention. The food ordered in the bar was good quality from a plain "no nonsense" menu. Staff could not have been more helpful. The bedroom and ensuite were very tired and in desperate need of an update. It was impossible to regulate the temperature of the water in the shower and the toilet flush was so weak it did border on being unacceptable. The room décor was tired and the furniture old. The price for the overnight stay was very inexpensive but in all honesty, I would have preferred to pay more on the basis that the accommodation I experienced was brought up to date. Location, service, staff and food were very good. The building has character!
