good place, but check-in/out are bad
during check-in:
* receptionist Cecilia demanded for payment despite my prepayment
* when I called Hotels.com to seek help, she was mysteriously able to figure out that I had indeed prepaid already
* i paid for a room with airconditioning; but Cecilia initially gave me a room with fan only
* she eventually gave me a room with airconditioning when i requested for one
during check-out:
* Hotels.com's confirmation email stated that the check-out time was at 13:00
* at 12:30-12:40, a housekeeping staff knocked on the door; and wanted to kick me out of the room. when i tried to explain to her the check-out time, she started to get rude; and forcibly wanted to enter the room. i did not let her in.
* receptionist Angel knows who this rude housekeeping staff is.
to Hotel El Faro, feel free to coordinate with Hotels.com before harassing your guest(s). things like payment and check-out details could have been sorted out without making your guest's stay uncomfortable.
