We stayed just one night and it was the perfect spot in Bercy for a stop-over. Conveniently located next to the Gare de Lyon. Wonderful staff and they served up a hearty breakfast (for a price). We would consider staying here again on our next trip to Paris.

Perfect for being in the city but not the chaos
Hotel Claret was perfect for our Olympic trip and will work for others as well. There is a metro entrance at the front door, good restaurants and groceries around the corner. The hotel and room are clean and we had service daily. I would highly recommend for a great price and easy ride into the center versus paying way more with less options to get around.

The first room we received had stains all over the bedding and the sheets were ripped. We requested a new room and were given one without any issue. The new room was better. We requested a taxi and they sent us an unmarked van that requested alot more money than the regulated price for a trip to the airport.

You get what you pay for in this hotel. I asked for a lower level room due to mobility issues, which was done for me. However, the rooms looked nithing like advertised. There were paint/ plaster patches all over, marks on the bath and no air conditioning in the room. If you stay here, I would advise to ask for a refurbished room and dont stay on the 1st floor. Lovely area and ideal to the 6 Metro into the city

The walls are not quite soundproof- well or it‘s just my bad luck with room neighbors- Anyways- the hotel was more or less really clean. I had a TV in my Room and the bathroom was great!! It‘s a bit small, but Definetly enough for one person. :) The people at the reception were really nice and helpful especially becouse I can‘t speakt french good.

Hotel was in good location and the staff were friendly. When you view the website of the hotel Claret you think wow - what a place for the price. The reality was different and if a hotel in Finland had such a different website from reality they would be done under the trade descriptions act. My room 210 was below average and the badly fitted carpet made this room more dirtier. There is no iron, no coffee and tea making facilities, no bottled water in your room. Would i stay here again - Never - would I recommend it - No way. Its awful. I try hard not to give bad reviews, but this place is horrendous.

Prezzo molto caro per il servizio offerto.
Very expensive price according to the type of service received. Old renovated structure. lights in the corridor working with sensor and until they turn on you walk in the dark. Structure managed entirely by foreigners and non-French people who barely speak Italian. This morning check in was scheduled for 12:00 and the women constantly knocked, disturbing us and disturbing our peace. Yesterday afternoon another customer had the access card in our room and was able to access it while we were inside. Chocolate croissants on request because they were already finished at 10:00 (breakfast from 07:30-10:30) After trying this facility, I fear it is very expensive compared to the quality and service offered. At least after all they should offer at least 30% back.

Needs attention
The bed was uncomfortable because the matress wasn't flat and we kept slipping to the middle of the bed. The window had no blinds, only fabric curtains which were insufficient to prevent the street lights from coming into the room. The shower was poorly design as the water would splash onto the floor of the bathroom when you take your shower, then you have to put at least two towels to clean it up. The night guard told us he would wake us up by knocking on our door in the morning, but we didn't hear anything. The breakfast fee of $16 per person is rather high when all you want to eat is a croissant or two and a cup of coffee.

Stay away!
Absolutely awful. I wish there was a way to post a zero star review. The room was nothing like what was advertised, it was very dirty and it was obvious the sheets hadn’t been changed. I was offered to be moved to a different room which I refused to do because the common areas were just as dirty, so I was confident all other rooms would be in that same condition. There was “no smoking” signs everywhere but the whole place reeked of cigarette smoke. We checked out immediately because the condition we found the room was obviously unacceptable, and even though we didn’t spend more than 10 minutes in the room they refused to give us a full refund. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place.
