This was a fabulous hotel and definitely one of the best I’ve ever stayed in. Staff were attentive and helpful without being too ‘in your face’. The bedroom was spacious and felt like it had been designed thoughtfully. All the right toiletries were provided too - again it felt like a bit of thought had been given to what the traveller may require. Food in restaurant was lovely and staff were helpful there too. There’s a shopping centre next to the hotel but otherwise there’s not much around within walking distance. If I had to find fault I’d say the restaurant and bar were too cold, and I’d like to have been able to use the stairs instead of the lift at busy times. Unfortunately I was told the stairs were for emergency use only.

The dining manager repeatedly insists to have breakfast buffet despite having a la carte menu. Will only budge after told we are here to only eat a few items not interested in the large spread. I thought this customer pressure tactic is very unbecoming of a quality hotel. They should understand it is rude to force the customer this way!

This hotel took extraordinary effort to see that we were taken care of in every way. The Front desk personnel were helpful, friendly, and charismatic, especially the girls who were there regularly like, Brenda and Roma. The concierge who helped us book our sightseeing was a wonder. He made sure that we would be safe with our driver since we didn't speak the language. He also made sure that we saw things like the Sun Temple that we might have otherwise missed. The personnel in the restaurant from the waiters to the chef all greeted us personally. They did an excellent job of making sure that we enjoyed everything we ate. We were there for 2 weeks, one week longer than anyone else in our party, and when we went in for our last meal, the supervisor and waiters came out with a special dessert that had BON VOYAGE written on it. Everyone in the hotel made us feel like we were their special guests. When the Indian culture says that they treat guests like GODS, the VIVANTA hotel actually does.
