Booked last minute, day before so it was a bit get what you are given. We were prepared as had looked at previous reviews and they all differ. We cannot all be the same! Arrived late but we were able to get a drink at a couple of the bars & also pizza &/or a sandwich served from 11pm-midnight. Good as we were at the bar at this time and also after the alcohol which is available all day it soaks it up! We celebrated New Year here the animation team did a fantastic interpretation of The Greatest Showman, afterwards dancing until the early hours with silly hats and party poppers all supplied. Our room was a little tired, very cold when we went in first off but soon managed to get the heating going to warm it up. Our door to our overly huge balcony did not fit securely so cold air came in round it, also a security risk as could easily be broken into. The beds were comfortable including our 11 year old daughters, a proper bed, not a put-you-up. The toilet did not flush very well and the shower needed a carrier bag weaved around the plug (which our cleaner had done for us!) to stop the disgusting odour coming up through it! Also limited hot water at peaks times. No lights on the landing. Food was variable & good, always something to please all. It was a long lengthy wait for doughnuts & pancakes at breakfast which needs to be looked into. We used the Fish & the Steak rest, both vg. Pools heated but cold, bit of an issue with children. Gardens gorgeous. Icecream/waffles payable.
