Location of property is good, walking distance and Sunday Lamar Street markets nearby. Two small issues; 1. Tiny ants everywhere; sinks, closet , dresser even on my bed sometimes. 2. Sink has debris when have water running. I had it run for hours then stopped and repeat over and over for few hours at the time. Overal, pretty good.

I’d liked the area. It’s close to everything. Staffs, cleaners are super friendly. Great welcome. Only two small problems; Ants all over sink, bed and dresser & closet. Faucet water is very dirty with debris. We had faucet running for all day/all night, it gets better for short time then it comes back with debris again.

The location in Lamai is excellent. It’s steps from the beach, there are plenty of restaurants and night life is in walking distance. The hotel staff is extremely friendly and they were very accommodating. The room could use some updating, but it didn’t bother me at all. I spent so little time in the room it didn’t matter. For the price, this place is great and I prefer it to the other larger resorts in the area.

Good area but very dirty
Great area and nice front desk staff. It’s great being by the beach for the price. But there were many issues with this hotel as well. We stayed in two rooms, the first one was dirty old with black dirt in the corners and smelled moldy, and had plumbing issues, the toilet would spit water at random times sometimes while using it, maintenence came and never fixed, and we were stuck with it for two days. We changed rooms and the 2nd one was much better and cleaner, but the beach towels were clearly dirty from beach sand from the last guest that used it. We put on floor to show it was dirty and they rolled it back up in the beach bag, disgusting!

Busy Lamai Beach
Room was large if what a little smelly, a dusty smell even the sheets. Staff were great and pool area very nice, which was great as we could not go on the beach or go in the sea as black oil everywhere, not the hotels fault at all. Wifi good

Excellent service in good location
The staff were absolutely excellent, an nothing was too much trouble. Welcoming arrival with the pre arranged hotel pick up service right on time. We occupied a bungalow for 9 nights close to the beach with fantastic location, but in need of some TLC and very close to the lagoon which early evening was mosquito territory Bar and restaurant in fantastic location on beach and again made to feel very welcome serving good value food and drinks All round an excellent stay but hotel in need of a make over

Great location, shame about the shower!
Check in and location was great. Good sized rooms with slightly firmer mattress than anticipated but was ok. Nice hotel pool with spa facility and literally backs on to the beach which was handy. 5 min walk from the busy nightlife of the area and restaurants. We did have an issue with the shower, when turning the dial it fell off and I couldn't then switch off the water or control the heat. Maintance came and removed a tile in the room and showed me how to turn the water on and off and would come and fix the shower the next day as this was late on a Friday. Apart from that the stay was pleasant, rooms cleaned daily with mini bar in room and complimentary water stocked daily.

Good hotel, great location
Great location for both the beach and the main street of Lamai beach if you turn left out of the main entrance. Lamai has a good mixture of restaurants and bars. There are noisy bars and quiet bars. I hope to be back for New Years Eve.

Friendly staff
The first room we had, the bed was super uncomfortable. The next morning around 12 we went to the front desk and asked to switch rooms. They were very pleasant and the new room had a 'proper' shower as opposed to the regular one. Great wifi! Didn't use the restaurant or pool.

Ken, milk and nude.
Probably in its heyday this hotel was great. Sadly it is a bit run-down and tired looking now. If it's was not for the 3 staff above I think I would of just took the loss of money and gone somewhere else. On the plus side location is great! right on the beach, good shopping and restaurants. If the owners put some money back into it, I believe this would be a great hotel once more.

Great place at Laguna Beach
I really enjoyed my few days here, my room was a 15m stroll to the beach at most (caveat I was near the restaurant and heard the staff making preparations earlier in the morning), my room was clean and I had a hot shower and A/C. It wasn't the newest style of room and the furniture was a bit old but perfect for myself. I don't holiday to spend all my time in a room and this one had everything I needed. The bed was fine the first night then seemed a lot harder the remaining 2 nights or so, so it would be nice if they were updated. The breakfast had a nice variety. I don't like my bacon crispy however so I was nostalgic for my home style bacon, but there were little sausages, cereals, pastries, typical western stuff and then a few asian noodle things or soups as well. I had some trouble organising private transport to the hotel, I thought it had been arranged and then my driver wasn't there when the ferry arrived as I thought they would be. But after an email and a call someone was arranged really quickly... it's Thailand I had to learn to go with the flow ;) The location was great, I could stroll along the beach, plenty of cheap places nearby to walk to along the main road. There are a lot of ladies offering a massage along such walks but hey it's Thailand and to be expected. There was a awesome little wine store up the road as well which was perfect for me, if the person there had a page I'd review her to she was knowledgeable and the wine tasting was delicious...

a Jem of a Sanctuary in Lamai Samui
The Laguna Samui Resort is a Jem of a sanctuary nestled between the warm Hearted Beach town of Lamai, a lake to one side, Mountains and the Breathtaking Lamai Beach. I believe it is a nature sanctuary of Lamai. I Highly recommend this Resort and location. The staff is helpful, professional and go out of their way to accommodate your needs. This Peaceful place has it all! Great layout, pool, beachfront, Top Shelf Bar,Restaurant and staff. The Bar and restaurant are right on the beach. I will stay here anytime I return to Lamai it's a sweet little paradise, it rests alongside the quiet lake and Beach and very quiet.as I rest in my Bungalow ( highly recommended, to get the full sanctuary Jungle/Beach experience) . I only hear tropical birds no motorbikes or traffic. This is Exactly what I needed! From my Bungalow I walk about 50 meters to the Bar, Restaurant, and beach a little further through the lobby across the street to an ATM and you are right in the town of Lamai, with all you need a few steps or a short walk away. I am sad to ever think of leaving this Wonderful Resort and town that is one of the warmest, friendliest exciting and fun places I have been. The Restaurant and Bar on the Beach has Delicious food, great drinks and the entire staff puts their Hearts into making no your stay as carefree and easygoing as possible. It is very easy to walk just a few seconds to this Top Shelf Restaurant knowing it has everything anyone could possibly like on the menu!

Disgusted
Totally disgusted with this hotel. We were moved from room to room but each room just as bad as the 1st. There was about 60 rooms in total but only 10 loungers around the pool, no music anywhere. The cleaner never knocked catching us at it 1 day but smiled and carried on. Front of house young and unprofessional, when asking information started talking in Thai to fellow staff and then point and start laughing Hated every minute in this resort.Oh the room filthy air con doesn't work dirty cups, bathroom disgusting and connecting bungalow with a small lock to keep them out.

Good location, poor service
We stayed in a bungalow for three nights. Our Queen bed was actually two single beds pushed together; however, they were clean and relatively comfortable. The shower had no hot water. It kept blowing a fuse. When we were first in the room, the hotel lady noticed and organised a repairman. He did fix it; it lasted one shower. Although we told the hotel staff on multiple other occasions, they never fixed it again. One night they opened an empty room for us to shower... Otherwise, we had cold showers. The toilet also barely worked (you had to flush 3-4 times).
