Tried two rooms. First was a king bed. Strong cigarette smell, ashtray in "non-smoking" room, which is pretty typical of chinese business hotel. The room was ok, but furniture, carpet and drapes all from another age. There is an enormous construction site across the street (like there is on seemingly every street corner in China !) so I requested to change room as the noise was unbearable. All king-bed rooms face that side, so no go on the king bed. Changed me to a double, on the other side. Room was much bigger, quite less worn down and overall quite pleasing. Had I not seen the first room, my rating would have been higher, but like many other hotels, management needs to realize that it's time to put a bit of money in the rooms. Buffet restaurant is spectacular with western and asian choices.
