Well located for Duxford
The service was excellent through the stay. The rooms are set in converted buildings away from the main building which overlook the common used courtyard. The evening meal was well cooked and large portions with a choice related of burgers, chicken, pizza and chips. The room was well located for Duxford and the Air Show we attended and suited us for an overnight stay.

Great stay
The bar is very small and closes early - we were exhausted so certainly wasn’t an issue for us and the restaurant was a decent size. Meal was good, great selection of drinks, room (spitfire) was clean and comfortable and appeared to have been recently refurbished. The young lady (owners daughter?) served us in the evening and the following morning very efficiently and competently so thankyou! Breakfast was included , very tasty and perfect size. First time staying here and I will stay again

4/10 Fair

Not a great experience
The breakfast was good, everything else, not so much. Floor was creaky and uneven. Shower was weak and either scolding or freezing. Mattress was past its best. Main window was covered by a thin curtain, small box window didn’t have anything to cover it. Found a dead fly on the floor. Positives were that we did get clean bedding and towels. it was quiet, although don’t think there was anyone else in our building. Ample parking. Easy to find. Bar and restaurant was okay

6/10 Good

Generally fine. Clean room, adequate for my stay. Good choice of burgers and hotdogs but little else on the menu. Breakfast was fine with the chef prepared to make your choice. On a main road so never going to be quiet! The permanent funfair right outside was unexpected though. To be fair(!) it did close down at 9pm. Lots of opportunity to walk (run for me)locally on quieter side roads. Duxford is 5 minutes drive (the main reason for my visit) with an RSPB site just a couple of miles away also.

The room was only prepared for one person...no mirror in bath room.no hair dryer Could hear every noise ,footsteps, and talking from the people upstairs. Could no drown out the noise with sound from the tv..due to it not working. Perfect location. But above a let down

Breakfast and evening meal was good. Water pressure on shower needs improvement as does actual shower. Maybe a grab rail .?

6/10 Good

Food was good, service with a smile always nice. Reasonable stock of malt whiskies. (always ask before adding ice) Room small but clean and tidy. Shower really disappointing, very little water pressure so don’t expect a quick shower. All in all it was good for a one night stay.

Solo Motorcycle trip
I stayed for one night and check in was without any issue, the staff were very friendly and I got straight to my room. Later on the staff allowed me to move my motorcycle out of view from the road and bring it into the court yard which was appreciated. The rooms are a little dated, but everything worked. Most importantly the room was very clean, with decent towels, bedding and facilities. Mine (Tiger Moth) had a walk in shower, toilet and sink in the bathroom and then a double bed, TV and furniture with tea/coffee making facilities in the main room. The bed was very comfortable. The rooms are named after military aircraft, probably due to the IWM Duxford being down the road. The breakfast the next day was spot on, a full English cooked breakfast with tea/coffee and cereals. For the price I certainly cannot fault it!

2/10 Poor

Awful hotel. See my review on trip advisor! We booked out a night early and paid to stay somewhere else. Tv doesn't work, no wifi, no mirrors in bathroom, uncomfortable bed, awful breakfast, shabby, curtains let in light, all people in bar could see into room, NOISY, could hear every sound from room above, doors stick so get slammed, rude manager. .awful place..miles from anything except a busy road .avoid.
