Unfortunately, my stay at this hotel ended on a very disappointing note.
On the morning of my departure, I found a bed bug in my bed, which is absolutely unacceptable in any accommodation — especially in a city like Amsterdam. It was extremely upsetting and made me worry about the possibility of bringing bed bugs into my luggage or clothing.
Additionally, the night before, when I got into bed, I found my own phone charger under the sheets, as if the bed had only been made on top of it, without properly checking or changing the bedding. That raised serious concerns about cleanliness and attention to detail.
When I informed the front desk upon checkout, the only response I received was: “We are really sorry.” No further explanation, no follow-up, and no offer of compensation, even though this happened literally as I was leaving.
I’m sharing this in hopes that the hotel takes this feedback seriously — because cleanliness, safety and proper room hygiene should never be compromised.
