The unit was very modern and well kept. Three beds, one for each of us. Location is magnificent! Lots of shopping and dining options close by. We highly recommend Le Merrill!

The location is excellent! We parked and did not need our car for the rest of our stay while we visited the top tourist spots in Montreal.

6/10 Good

Great location, lovely old building, comfortable bed. Really poor communication with host - whoever that is - we never got to speak to an actual person. No towels, toiletries, laundry powder when we arrived, old food in the fridge and a broken blind. Let the management company know who fixed the blind but nothing else. The apartment had an unpleasant smell by the door- it needs some maintenance (rotting skirting board in the shower) and the bathroom sink didn’t drain properly. Overpriced for what it is.

No toilet paper, plenty of damage to property such as the door handle to bathroom falling off, etc. Mold in the shower. The location was great.

We very much enjoyed our visit and found the place very well located. We booked the accommodation for 6 people, with 3 queen beds and we were 5 people it was a good size because we stayed outside a lot. Pros: Excellent location Good shower Great customer service (they were ready to talk when I called about check-in) Decent kitchen, I didn’t use it but seems pretty good Decent bathroom size Decent room size overall Cons: The room that’s separate is way to dark, it needs lightning not only a lamp The bathroom had it’s toilet loose - dangerous for kids and even adults The floors looked clean but our socks were discussing after walking around the room It needs hooks to hang the towels after use It needs at least 2 extra foldable stools so everyone can eat there as there’s only 4 chairs for the dinner table The pillows are HORRIBLE but that could simply be preference

Make sure to ask the staff through the app for parking options ahead of time. They were able to recommend a very close underground garage where you can leave your car for multiple days without moving it. Cost ~$19 USD / night.

2/10 Poor

The worst management I have ever known. 4pm was the check-in time. The entire property was just freshly lived when I opened the door. The cleaning was done at about 7pm. There’s no efficient communication method available—— I was reached by email and text message. Someone called from a different phone number. Then, no follow up, and no one ever replied my email. The text message number stopped work later. Additionally, I paid $100 to park my car at nearby underground garage for 2 nights. Basic and cheap furnitures are provided. This apartment is of good location. But, the cross street is under construction currently. Old Montreal is not large and really walkable. Consider other places if you don’t want to risk your valuable time.

The AC in my unit was not working, despite me following the exact directions multiple times to have it operating. The wall unit is clearly broken and despite multiple emails to the building staff, nothing was done about it other than resending me the instructions over and over. The unit was 26-28C every night and was impossible to sleep in. Beware of staying here in the summer - extremely unhelpful guest services and an uncomfortable place to stay.

6/10 Good

Good but has ability to be great.
Great location, confortable beds, and a spacious area for 4 adults. Despite this, we had a major issue with the thermostat and were miserable at night as the temp would not cool below 24C despite following the instructions received after messaging the property (they were very prompt with their reply) on how to set the thermostat. There is a remote unit as well as a wall unit. Remote is in F and wall unit is in C. Written instructions should be on site for guests. Our apt did not cool down and we slept with sweat dripping for 5 nights. Also, the bedroom has no vents and was hotter than the rest of the apartment In addition, the following items are needed in this apartment: Towel hooks Soap dish in shower Trash can in bathroom Extra towels if staying more than 3 nights ( we were there for 5). Better lighting Microwave The bathroom had a sewer gas smell and the apartment has limited lighting. Making the above corrections will make this place 5 star and I would book it again.

Basic accommodation, but great location
Great location close to Notre Dame. Rooms weren't very well maintained. The shower door did not have a handle (very hard to open the door), some light switches and knobs were broken. If you're a light sleeper this may not be the property for you as the walls are thin and you can hear the footsteps of those above you.

This property is very nice but there is no safe overnight parking anywhere near it. We had to park ~1/2 mile away and pay 50CAD/night to park at the Science Center. If you’re not driving, it’s a great place to stay.

Very cute and clean apartment :) Also in a great location! Ran into some trouble on arrival, on my way to Montreal my phone broke (the phone with the check in information). When arriving to the property, there is only a key pad to access the building, as I didn't have my phone, I wasn't able to get in, I tried pushing the assistant button on the key pad but nothing happened, only said attendant not available. Thankfully I was with boyfriend and we used his phone to call the hotel number from google. It took us 45 minutes to get in to the building and the guy on the phone was quite rude. Finally ended up getting a new code sent to my boyfriends phone, the place was cute and clean but still just left me unhappy after a such a long and difficult check in.

Awesome location
The checkin process and parking were awful. If you stay here, it is recommended to contact the staff in advance and get detailed instructions on where to park, how to enter the building and how to obtain hotel key. But the hotel or rather apartment was fantastic and very well priced. 1/2 a block from Notre Dame Cathedral and square. Dining everywhere. Tourist attractions blocks away.

2/10 Poor

We arrived around 10pm after 5 hours of trip, the weather was very hot even at night, it was 29 ‘C when we entered the room. The air conditioner was not working, so I called the front desk (which does not really exist physically) regarding this matter, but the guy at the front desk replied very impolitely and instead of giving me suggestions or admitting that he would be helping me, he told, not asked, me to reply to the message with check-in instructions, which was sent by email from Expedia that I’m unable to reply to. Failing the attempt, I called the front desk again, receiving an even more rude attitude. The room was so hot, so I decided to contact Expedia customer service and asked the agent to contact the property in behalf of me, which in the meanwhile I went to take a cold shower. The agent then told me the front desk agreed that he will assist me directly, so I gave him a call back. Before I got to speak a word, the front desk guy started with an angry voice and indicated my “way of dealing with this was unpleasant”. I’m like, man, who started all this and who refused to provide help? I’m the one who pays for your service! That night we slept with no air conditioner and had to open the windows to allow some wind. The next morning, right after 6am, the construction started outside the building and we were woke up, sweaty and tired. We had no choice but switching to another hotel, and lost the money because the property refused to offer any refund. Avoid if possible!

The location is good. The “hotel” space is poor… loose sink, missing towel hooks, no soap holder, etc, etc.
